So Blizzard placed the 'Activate Premium Battle Pass' button right next to the button you have to constantly press to check your Season Journey. Guess what happened to me and at least 5 others on my stream. This is straight up Malicious Design. @Diablo

Want to read about this ridiculously lengthy ballot and get info (scant info available) about California Supreme Court race? @sfchronicle paywalls it. #assholeDesign @AssholeDesign
Adobe & Pantone think they can own colours and charge us to use them! So I've just liberated the whole colour book and I'm giving it away for FREE unless you're associated with Adobe or Pantone! You can get yours for free here: culturehustle.com/products/f…

Fun times ahead for #Adobe designers. Today, if you open a PSD (even one that's 20 years old) with an obscure PANTONE colour, it will remove the colour and make it black. Pantone want US$21/month for access, and Solid Coated goes behind the paywall in early November.

A fine example of @AssholeDesign A video ad started autoplaying on a website I visited. However trying to find the culprit proved difficult as there were many ads autoplaying at the bottom of the page The culprit? This video with the volume button made to look like mute is "on"

why the fuck isn't the "allow tracking cookies" setting built into the browser instead of every single website needing a popup for it that tries its hardest to make it so you can't say no?

This should be illegal and needs to be tested by the courts. The consumer was sold a perpetual license and the seller revoked it after the point of sale. In any other industry this would violate consumer law, but the courts are unaware or don't want to examine this issue.

Sadly it seems I will never know what Rachel Reeves had to say as the @Independent website scrolls it off the screen to be replaced by ads every time I scroll down. Gave up in the end 🤷‍♂️😡

This shit is totally unacceptable, @canary. I’ve wasted enough time completing your dark pattern maze. Cancel my account.

Bad UX and bad UI! Kind of asshole design. A mobile game ad that hide the close button behind the mobile header. Impossible to close the ad without closing the app. And of course, when we click on anywhere else, it opens the app store to buy that game. #badux #mobilegame #tech

You have 3 seconds to find the close button. Are you the 1% who were able to to find it? @airmailer it would be nice to give maximum contrast for the close button. Think of people with eyesight issues. Otherwise, it’s going to stay as @AssholeDesign.

I love how @newscomauHQ has popup videos with the close button just above ads where they get paid per click. That way when a user misses the video close, they get paid for an ad click. #AssHoleDesign

Thanks for the #assholedesign ad @digg - no volume or play controls on an ad prior to a video. 👍 #uxfail #shittyux
No one wants pop-ups or ads that are accompanied by sound or video w/ sound. Literally no one. Why would you do this? Do you hate your readers? Because I feel like you hate your readers.

Telling people not to use an adblocker is a tough sell with these facts. If you feel adblockers are threatening authors incomes or anything like that you should wonder how to fix this instead of doing "but please disable your adblocker" campaigns. debugbear.com/blog/2020-chro…
