Dear Mr. Herman Mashaba, We, as white South Africans, demand an apology for your tweet accusing @DeanMacpherson of having apartheid "in his blood and DNA." Your statement is racist and scientifically baseless, echoing Nazi genetic superiority beliefs, which lack evidence and mirror discredited eugenics. This violates the Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act 4 of 2000 (PEPUDA), Section 10 (hate speech), and Section 11 (unfair discrimination), and the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD), Article 4. A case could be brought to the Equality Court under PEPUDA Section 20 for hate speech, potentially leading to an apology or fine. We further request that your political party, Action SA, hold a disciplinary inquiry to determine if these beliefs align with the party's values. As a political figure with significant influence, your promotion of these beliefs risks amplifying racial division, inciting hatred, and causing widespread harm, undermining South Africa’s healing and misrepresenting race as a genetic determinant. I call on all political parties who reject these beliefs to join us in condemning this disgusting rhetoric. Retract it and apologise. Sincerely, Non Nazis PLEASE SHARE THIS TO HELP RAISE AWARENESS. @Action4SA @HermanMashaba @SAHRCommission @Our_DA @DeanMacpherson @PresidencyZA @realDonaldTrump @SecRubio @BrentBozell

🚀 Supercharging digital transformation! I am delighted to announce the conclusion of a groundbreaking agreement between Home Affairs, the Border Management Authority, Government Printing Works and the South African Revenue Service to digitally transform and revolutionise government services. The agreement marks a new era that will fundamentally improve the way that government works. The Home Affairs ecosystem will leverage the world-class technology capacity within SARS to revolutionise all civics and immigration services. As a direct result of the successful conclusion of this agreement, clients can look forward to the following improvements: • Launch of a world-class Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system to digitalise and automate immigration procedures to eliminate inefficiency and fraud; • Integration of Home Affairs services with banking platforms to expand access to Smart ID and passport services to hundreds of bank branches as well as to banking apps; • Introduction of secure courier delivery of documents; • Upgrading of the Movement Control System at all ports of entry; and • Introduction of Smart IDs for naturalised citizens and permanent residents. Work to roll out these revolutionary improvements is now in full swing, and we will announce their activation on an ongoing basis. This list of reforms represents only the most immediate priorities in pursuit of our vision to deliver 𝘏𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘈𝘧𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘴 @ 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦. Today’s breakthrough not only completes the repositioning of Home Affairs to follow the modernisation path SARS has already broken - but enables us to now work together with SARS to redefine and revolutionise the quality of government services for all 🇿🇦

On Monday I will be delivering a keynote address at Kingswood College. The school that Uyinene Mrwetyana went to. This is the Uyinene Mrwetyana Foundation Memorial Lecture; commemorating her life that was brutally and viciously ended. I am truly struggling through this speech prep. What do I say? When the news of a 7 year old child who was sexually assaulted surfaced this very week. In a country where thousands of children are unsafe in schools, homes and in their communities. I am devastated. Heartbroken. I know that as law and policy makers we are meant to have solutions ready on hand. But this isn’t something that any one government department can fight. It has to be all of us. Civil society, government leaders and communities. I am certainly championing this issue with Justice Minister (sexual offenders register) and Police Minister. They are just as animated as I am. Abantwana are falling prey to predators. Daily. These are the most vulnerable members of our society. They have no one else to protect them unless we decide to make the societal and legal changes. Perhaps I’ll find the words by Monday. For now, I am angry. I am livid. Sad. And everything in between. Women in this country don’t have the luxury to speak dispassionately about these things. Ever. It’s personal. For us all. I just hope that it can be personal for the entire country: government leaders and community leaders alike. I am angry. I am sad.

Does response get better than this? I don't think so,keep up the good work Mayor @geordinhl
Lozaah asks what we deliver in Dunoon. I will answer him. Here is a (not exhaustive) list: 1) Dunoon receives waste collection 3 times a week (most of the rest of the city receives a 1x per week service), and this is a totally free service (not free to the City, but free to the residents of Dunoon). We also recently (in the last month or so) handed out over 800 extra wheelie bins, to try to help stop dumping. 2) Dunoon receives free water and sanitation (again not free to the City, but free to the residents of Dunoon)* 3) Dunoon is home to the City’s most beautiful library, which also offers a range of courses, study help to kids, reading classes, and more 4) Dunoon has a dedicated MyCiti bus route. This provides heavily-subsidised public transport options to residents in the area. Unfortunately a small number of residents (or taxi instigators) burnt down two of the main MyCiti stations in the area. Those are now being fully rebuilt after a long insurance claim. In the meantime, buses are running on schedule every day and are well used. 5) Dunoon has dedicated law enforcement deployment. On Thursday night I joined 4 city law enforcement officers who patrol Dunoon through the night, every night. One resident told me on Thursday that these patrols make her feel safer when she’s alone with her children at night. 6) Dunoon has a public clinic which offers free healthcare, free chronic medication, an emergency medical treatment facility 8 hours a day 7) Dunoon residents (approved beneficiaries) will benefit from one of the City’s larger public housing projects, the so-called “Annandale” project 8) Dunoon is one of the first communities to get a new City “local planning support office” to help residents build legal, safe small-scale rental units, and all of the fees and charges for these micro developments have been removed 9) Dunoon has two public schools, which are largely “no fee” schools, funded by the Western Cape government, also a DA government For brevity, I’m not covering fire and rescue, roads, parks, local planning support, informal trading infrastructure, and much more besides. All delivered free of charge to residents. *Eskom is the electricity provider to Dunoon, not the City, so I can’t speak to that

FACT
Singing about murdering anyone is hate speech for anyone with half a moral compass. Singing ‘Kill The Boer’ is an act to polarise, divide and that promotes hatred, but worse, violence. It certainly has no place in a modern society trying to build a better future.

Agree
An appalling decision that will further normalise the use of violent, racist rhetoric in SA’s public discourse. Arguments to the effect that ‘kill the Boer’ is just an historical metaphor, and does not in fact involve the incitement of race-based violence, is pure sophistry.

This is how the U.S. Department of State officially sent Ebrahim Rasool on his way packing: ‘The Department of State will no longer recognize Ambassador Rasool as a member of the mission as of Monday, March 17, at which point his privileges will cease. He and his dependent are required to depart the United States no later than March 21...’

The kind of backward mentality why the country is in total mess. Obsession with skin color
You can’t be black and vote for the DA, we get that you lack consciousness but do you really dislike yourself that much to even think DA is an option.

Hello, South Ah! A full day in Parliament for me today. After my caucus meeting, I’ll be answering questions in the NCOP (National Council of Provinces) and rushing to the NA (National Assembly) to answer questions there too. Ndine parliamentary clutch today. 🫠 I truly enjoy accounting to Parliament. As an opposition MP, I enjoyed rigorous interrogation of the work of government. Even now as a member of the executive; I appreciate your MPs holding us accountable on your behalf. Touch! Let’s Go! 🇿🇦

I surprised our #MyTeacher award winner Relebogile and her teacher Ms Mbatha at Nelmapius primary school ext 1, this morning. October is Cancer Awareness Month and Relebogile’s school marked the occasion as they welcomed their little warrior back to school. She’s conquered her rounds of chemo and is back with a bang. 💪🏾 I'd like to encourage our educators to keep doing the good work you do. My wish is to see more beautiful stories like this. Let's continue to positively impact these little beautiful and precious lives. 🥹
