This @Austin_Davis17 poetry/art book is about living on the streets, levitating over water before drowning in it, and what makes such a tumultuous life worth it. a.co/d/gCOjRea @OutcastPress #artbook #Poetryforever

If this sticker doesn’t make it to the walls of every bridge, bus station, college campus, hole-in-the-wall pizza joint & motel kegger party, I’ll be disappointed. @Austin_Davis17’s rock and roll on attitude deserves as much. Message me or @OutcastPress to claim one w/ 📖purchase

Making art cool enough to be in the CD of ur fav old alt band. @Austin_Davis17 is a rock star of poetry, his words strumming in minds like indie folk lyrics. He now has 2 books w/ @OutcastPress & a third in discussion a.co/d/8DIfm0x

ICYMI: I spoke with @HugsAz's @Austin_Davis17 on difficulties unhoused people face when trying to access cooling centers in the Valley.
For @KTAR923:
EARLIER THIS WEEK:
@Austin_Davis17 with @HugsAz shares what he has seen running a Tempe cooling center.
He also says that some people face barriers when trying to use cooling centers, like people with mobility issues or with animals.

An incredible effort by Austin Davis and AZ Hugs for the Homeless! After receiving a generous donation, the foundation has been working to fix up a trailer that will serve as a temporary solution for families in need of shelter.

Our friend Jen just reached out in need of shelter for her & her 2 kiddos.
I’ll be working with Jen tomorrow on making a pathway to shelter, but tonight we want to make sure she & the kids stay safe.
If you’d like to donate to our motel fund, info below! Hugs ❤️

My friends and I used to kick it at the parks for hours. Miss that shit. Nowadays it feels like everyone is just looking for somewhere that might be safe for a bit.

Austin adds, "There's no place where someone can experience homelessness and simply exist. Homelessness is not illegal...But in a lot of ways, it low-key is."

New programs in the City of Phoenix and other Valley-area cities have put overnight security at public parks.
@Austin_Davis17 with @HugsAz says this can put people experiencing homelessness at a higher risk of death.

Photographer Eric Elmore hopped in the van with me on Wednesday & took pics throughout our travels.
This 1st photo feels heavy. Someone in our street fam was hit by a train a few weeks back & died.
A friend on the streets gave me this stuffed animal to give to the woman’s child

This week, we had the chance to celebrate the hard work of @CityofPhoenixAZ volunteers at the Impact Volunteer Awards.
I was particularly proud to recognize Austin Davis and Eddie Chavez Calderon who provide lifesaving heat relief through their mobile cooling van.
