Health-related quality of life in patients with KRASG12C-mutated chemorefractory metastatic colorectal cancer treated with sotorasib plus panitumumab or standard of care (CodeBreaK 300): results from a phase 3, randomised clinical trial
buff.ly/leaK2LS
The phase 3 CodeBreaK 300 trial evaluated patient-reported outcomes (PROs) in patients with chemorefractory KRASG12C-mutated metastatic colorectal cancer treated with sotorasib plus panitumumab versus standard-of-care trifluridine–tipiracil or regorafenib. Among 160 enrolled patients, compliance with PRO assessments was high, and results at week 9 consistently favored the sotorasib–panitumumab arms, showing less fatigue and pain along with improvements in global health status, quality of life, and physical function.
These findings, together with previously reported improvements in progression-free survival, support the combination as a promising new treatment option in this difficult-to-treat population.

NEWS FROM INDUSTRY: monarchE Update
Source Lilly
buff.ly/9ebwj2M
Eli Lilly announced that the Phase 3 monarchE trial has met its primary overall survival (OS) endpoint, showing that two years of abemaciclib plus endocrine therapy (ET) provides a statistically significant and clinically meaningful OS benefit compared to ET alone in patients with hormone receptor–positive (HR+), HER2-negative, node-positive, high-risk early #BreastCancer . At the seven-year landmark analysis, treatment also continued to demonstrate durable improvements in invasive disease-free survival (IDFS) and distant relapse-free survival (DRFS), reinforcing abemaciclib’s role as a standard of care in this setting.
