A stat that may explain Villanova’s decision:
The last season before Covid, there were 50 true road games played by power-conference MBB teams against opponents from outside the power conferences.
This season, there are 11 such games.
The current format of Big 5 men's basketball will end after this year, and the immediate future has the 5 non-Villanova schools playing round-robin without the Wildcats.
Villanova didn't want to keep this format, and another could not be agreed on.

I dislike the constant player movement and pure 💰 grab college sports has become, but man you have to admit it has brought a ton of parity.

Jacob Knuth was down to Minnesota and K-State out of HS. He chose Minnesota, but it didn’t last long.
He bet on himself in the portal and accepted a walk on spot at K-State. He’s been in Manhattan since 2023 and has paid his dues.
He is expected to get his 1st start today.
Agree... NCAA wants the chaos that is going on right now. They want the public outraged enough for the momentum to be there for legal changes.
COLUMN: Why is the NCAA fighting these so-called five-for-five cases all over the country in ways that will absolutely create an uneven playing field this season?
Arizona's Tommy Lloyd has an interesting theory.

Yup! All of this...
Gameday Thoughts:
-My god I missed basketball
-I love Casey Alexander's demeanor
-This feels like the fresh start we needed after years of drama and lies
-The offensive scheme should be fun to watch.
-Defense is the question mark
-I dont expect us to come out and be on the top 25 this year. It will be a growing year, but if we have good buy in we can be a 15-20 win team and maybe surprise a few folks.
-Go Cats 😈
In 1992 I heard Dale Brown speak at a basketball clinic in the Legends Room at Bramlege Coliseum my freshman year at K-State. His talk inspired me deeply as an aspiring coach and ultimately led to me getting on staff with K-State Men's Basketball as a manager.
The LSU Basketball family is saddened to announce the passing of legendary coach Dale Brown at the age of 90.

So this statement was pointless to put out huh
Dear football, you do know we have the technology to display tenths of a second on game clocks right?

I also heard, and I couldn’t believe it, “BYU’s stepping up in class!”
Really? Wanna compare their schedule to @NDFootball really? I respect Chris a ton and he may not even understand how that landed, but as someone that’s seen a lotta @Big12Conference 🏈that’s simply absurd.
