Whiskered Yuhina, also called the Moustached Yuhina, or the Burmese Yuhina, is found in the high elevation Himalayan forests. Almost non-existent at lower altitudes. Got close enough to allow a crisp, feather details kinda shot. #IndiAves @IndiAves

Just done another corking 9 mile loop around Alwinton carried my 600mm all the way round but didn’t see many interesting birds. When we got back we saw at least 4 hummingbird hawk moths so went and got my macro lens from the cottage 🙂 They are such an amazing moth!

A juvenile Red-tailed Hawk launches from an Eastern Red Cedar. The bird flew in calling, spent a few minutes in the tree calling, and then flew off calling. The young hawks can be very chatty.
