Looking at the panel kit on a trailer leaves out the best part, the finished ADU! The kit is for our Julie plan which is shown here. This one was finished almost 10 years ago in Walnut Creek CA.

Let’s do it! We’ve been building prefab ADU’s for 16 years and we now have little Efficiency Units made for this application!

When the rules don’t work, it’s time for a change! Sacramento 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I’ll do you one better by adding 41,538 studio ADU’s that would house people all over the state at 20% AMI and lower! No land price factoring needed!

While I agree the zoning rules of decades ago suck & created affordable housing problems, CA is the only state to allow these SFH properties to have an ADU and JADU increasing the ability of going from 9M homes to 27M units without any more sprawl!

Amazing! It’s almost as if someone hasn’t been doing prefabADU’s in CA for over 15 years!! Long before they were named ADUs.
An antiquated model produces antiquated results! Changing the construction methodology can only do so much but it’s clearly not enough! We’re building prefabADU’s that start at $60K! It’s time for a new solution set to take the wheel for a while.

We can and we will! It just takes some leg work to reframe a few things and that part is done. Now it’s time to do a rapid roll out of ADU’s that are affordable to every homeowner profile! We have 9M SFH’s in CA. 25% with ADU’s is 2.25M new affordable units!
Tomorrow I’ll either be going home or homeless. This was already an important issue for me to help solve without being a victim of circumstances. Its a way of letting us know the homeless are not druggies who deserve being homeless because of bad choices.

Came home for lunch and it’s getting closer 🤬. Looking like we’ll get the evacuation demand in a few hours so I guess I gotta pack some essentials

This morning the crew left the shop here in Fairfield to deliver and set this #ADU kit in Napa. They left at 6:30am to try and get the house tilted up early and beat the heat and smoke! #CaliforniaHeatWave #CaliforniaFires

Nothing like watching the wildfires behind your house at 3am and waking up to an evacuation advisory. It’s all around us now in Vacaville, Fairfield and Napa. Time to pack the essential stuff #CaliforniaFires #CaliforniaHeatWave

ADU’s can be cute and affordable at the same time! This 360sqft. unit with 1BR, 1BA & full kitchen cost $606/mo. in a market that charges $1475/mo. for an apartment this size. It won’t look anywhere near as cute!! #casitatuesday

The only real answer is building more affordable housing so supply outpaces demand. If CA added one ADU to 25% of the SFH properties we’d add 2.25M new affordable units into areas where housing is needed most! This is where we’re doing it right now!

Simple answer to the housing problem that’s ready to scale since we got 6 bills in last year to remove barriers. ADU’s can wipe out the homeless problem tapping into as little as 6% of SFH’s in most cities. I’m ready when VC’s are.
