Nancy approved $150M for ADU grants and finance assistance that’s available through CalHFA. There’s 2500 grants @ $40k/ea available. Less than 1000 have been used so far so there’s more to go around Berkeley. We’ve started here and success will bring more options.

Looking at the panel kit on a trailer leaves out the best part, the finished ADU! The kit is for our Julie plan which is shown here. This one was finished almost 10 years ago in Walnut Creek CA.

1hr total to set 14 wall panels, top plates over panels, 3 roof rafter panels and front & back fascia! These guys do it everyday so they’re like a NASCAR pit crew 😂. DIY’ers might take a full day or two 👍🏽!

In 1994, Jeff Bezos famously spotted a stat that made him leave his high-paying PE job to start Amazon: 💡 The Internet was growing 2300% per year. What are the generation-defining stats of today? I'll post a few to kick things off...

We’re still more concerned with housing cars than people in this state!

SB9 was the first step towards opening up SF zoned properties to higher density. We’ll need more laws like this and other process barriers reduced or removed. So many good housing projects lose the battle of public hearings. I haven’t even mentioned parking issues!

That and lots zoned multi are ridiculously priced so it forces the development cost into a high dollar resale or rent product to make it ink out. Hence current lack of affordable housing in CA

Great point! These units are “by right” housing that have special expedited permitting and other barriers removed from the traditional application and building process in hopes of opening up scaling opportunities in the market

In principle yes, but there’s a few more layers of issues tied to land prices, zoning and building codes. Other manufacturers focus on that segment of housing.

The difference is housing that can be built for less than $100K! In some cases the cost drops to less than $50K/unit. I could go on to break it down even more.

500+ ADUs specifically for low to extremely low income people that keep them housed or transition them from being homeless. We started this movement and now it’s time for the next step in its evolution!

Stay tuned, you might get what you wished for very soon!

Looking for GC's in Socal to bid ADU projects. We have the customers with $$, we handle the permitting, plot plans, T24 calcs, then deliver the wall panels and roof systems. Message us for more details 😃

Let’s do it! We’ve been building prefab ADU’s for 16 years and we now have little Efficiency Units made for this application!

I decided to build ADUs instead of custom homes back in 2005 when the money was great for McMansions. All my builder friends thought I was crazy
