WATCH: Gov. Ron DeSantis argues Amendment 3 can deliver property tax relief while local governments still take in more revenue than in 2019, even after adjusting for inflation and population growth. @GovRonDeSantis: "For those who say you're not gonna have any services if Amendment 3 passes, did we not have services in 2019?"

You know what wasn't rushed? 6 years of spending like gluttons. This is essentially a taxpayer rebellion. Nobody is going to wait for a Commission that will dither for 3 years. Look at the spending inflation! 2x or 3x wage increases!

1000 Friends of Florida's board of directors is filled with lawyers as well as current/former Florida government officials including a current Seminole County Commissioner. No bias there whatsoever.

My son works full time here in Florida. Let me run his numbers. State minimum wage is $14/hour. He's at $15. 40 hours a week = $600/week That's about $2,600/month before taxes. Florida has no state income tax the thing they sell you on. So after federal and FICA he takes home roughly $2,200. Average one-bedroom in our area runs about $1,600. That's 73% of his entire paycheck gone to rent before he eats a single meal. Leaves him around $600 a month for: - groceries - gas - car insurance - health insurance - phone - emergencies - savings Car insurance alone eats a third of that in this state. He works 40 hours a week and cannot save a dollar. Not because he's careless because there's nothing left to be careless with. I spent thirty years paying off a house here. He's doing the same job I did at his age and he can't afford a one-bedroom. That's not a discipline problem. That's not avocado toast. The floor moved and nobody lowered the ceiling. Working full time should cover a roof. In Florida it barely covers the rent on one.

Fun Fact: Many Florida cities are canceling parades, events and festivals simply because they don't want Amendment 3 to pass. They've already received the money for these events in their budget this year, and now they're just trying to pocket that money for themselves. They're using scare tactics against citizens saying they won't be able to run their cities. This is false. Do your homework. Most of the sheriffs and city officials incomes have increased 30%-90% over the last 5 years. We have many city officials throughout the state that make more than the governor at $174k. Totally Ridiculous. All the amendment is doing is increasing the homestead exemption for homeowners. It’s been at $50K for decades. Vote YES on Amendment 3.

More tax payer wasted funds on this Miami-Dade County’s $249 million Command & Communications Center in Sweetwater. $249,000,000 for a comm center. Another reason to Vote Yes on Amendment 3! There's no reason for this theft of tax payers dollars.

Good morning, Florida! $209,892/year for ONE Senate staffer. Advertised perks: $30/month employee premiums for family health coverage, taxpayer-paid dental, life and disability, plus retirement. THEY get cushioned. YOU get milked. We’re taxpayers, not their damn ATM.

Jacksonville government employees making upwards of $700,000 per year. Yet we are told people will starve and essential services will be cut if Amendment 3 passes 🥴
Compare the Florida Judicial salaries below to the EXORBITANT SALARIES paid to JACKSONVILLE government employees. Totally irresponsible! There's plenty of waste. Cut the budget! We'll be fine. Taxpayers deserve a break. VOTE YES on AMENDMENT 3!

Heard the one about waking up sleeping giants? Well, Amendment 3 done done it. If all of these greedy politicians had kept their mouths shut instead of coming out in opposition they could've likely kept their malfeasance going on a smaller scale. But they shot off their mouths and we're scrutinizing every penny they misappropriated and there's no stopping us now! Vote YES on Amendment 3.
🚨 Florida taxpayers are paying $1.8 MILLION a year for Senate President @Sen_Albritton advisors. Some make over $200K a year. If you doubled Albritton’s salary, 10 of his 12 employees would STILL make more than him. Taxpayers want relief, not a bloated government payroll.

🚨 WHILE TAXPAYERS ARE TOLD THERE’S “NOTHING LEFT TO CUT”… LEE COUNTY WAS SPENDING ABOUT $53,000 A MONTH ON CONSULTANTS. That works out to roughly $636,000 a year. Among the contracts: $216,000 to a former state senator. $129,000 to a personal trainer. $93,000+ through Von Schnoodle LLC. And investigators reported that many of these contracts lacked clear measurable goals or specific work requirements. This is the part taxpayers are supposed to ignore while government warns that cutting taxes will somehow end civilization. Before you ask taxpayers for one more dime, explain the $53,000 a month in consultants.

HYPOTHETICALLY… IF I BOUGHT MY HOUSE FOR $125,000 IN 2002 AND THE COUNTY NOW SAYS IT’S WORTH $487,000, WHERE DID I ACTUALLY MAKE $362,000? Did I sell it? No. Did I receive $362,000? No. Did somebody hand me a check for the new assessed value? Obviously not. But my property taxes still go up because, on paper, my house is suddenly worth hundreds of thousands more. That’s the part that doesn’t make sense to me. This isn’t income. It isn’t cash sitting in my bank account. It’s a number someone assigned to my property, and now I’m being billed based on that number. If my stock portfolio doubles but I don’t sell, I haven’t turned that gain into cash. If my salary stays the same, I don’t suddenly owe more income tax because someone thinks I’m worth more. So why does owning a home work differently? WHY AM I PAYING TAX ON A GAIN I NEVER REALIZED? A house isn’t just an investment. It’s where people live. You can pay off the mortgage, own the property outright, and still face a bigger bill every year because the value of the house went up on paper. At some point, you have to ask what “owning” something actually means if the cost of keeping it can keep rising because of money you never received. THIS ISN’T ABOUT WHETHER THE HOUSE IS “WORTH” MORE. IT’S ABOUT BEING CHARGED FOR VALUE YOU NEVER TURNED INTO CASH. And people are starting to notice.

🚨 YOUR PROPERTY TAX BILL IS DUE. DON’T WORRY, THEY BOUGHT A $204,000 PIANO. 🎹 Yes. $204,000 for ONE grand piano. The Florida DOGE report says Hillsborough County spent taxpayer money on a piano so extravagant it was described as the “Ferrari” of grand pianos. And taxpayers are constantly told government has nowhere left to cut without touching police, fire or essential services. Really? Before anyone reaches for essential services, maybe check under the lid of the $204,000 piano. 🎹 Play us a song called “There’s Nothing Left to Cut.”

BREAKING: Florida just announced they will officially end mandates for Hep B, chickenpox, Hib, and pneumococcal vaccines. “We’ve initiated the process … to end those mandates.” Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo slammed all vaccine mandates as completely “unethical.” These four vaccine mandates were put in place by Florida’s Health Department. Which means the Health Department can repeal them without the state legislature. The rest of Florida’s vaccine mandates were passed by the state legislature, so they cannot be repealed without the legislature. Dr. Ladapo and Governor Ron DeSantis tried to convince the legislature to repeal all vaccine mandates. But the legislature refused. Instead, they’re ending every vaccine mandate that is within their power to end. @FLSurgeonGen @MAHA_Action
