Watching Messi’s Argentina farewell
match just makes everything about how he left Barcelona painful and embarrassing on the part of the club

Your definition of Zionism does not matter. Nor does mine. Zionism is defined by its material manifestations. The purpose of a system is what it does. And the Zionist system does racism and genocide. Simple. Please spare me the arrogant insufferable graaating Oxbridge debates. Your opinions are irrelevant. People are dying.

Israel is wiping an entire people off the face of the earth, not only in Gaza, but also in South Lebanon. A more demonic society has never lived.
Laporta the zionist scum and the deeper and deeper zionist leanings of this club could not be any more shameful and depraved

Today marks the return of the first competitive football in Palestine since 2023 🇵🇸
The “Thousand Martyrs’ Cup” is named after the 1,014 athletes killed by Israeli forces, but they are struggling to get footballs into Gaza. Read @AbubakerAbedW reporting on it.

So boycotts are suddenly a legitimate tool? Good to know. We have been told otherwise whenever Israel was concerned.

We have been warning for weeks that donations are declining - not only to The Sameer Project, but across mutual aid and relief efforts throughout Gaza.
We have cut meals, reduced programs, found ways to subsidize water, and paused support for individual medical cases. We have stretched every dollar as far as it can go. But we have reached a point where our daily operating costs are now greater than the donations coming in.
Without immediate support, we may be forced to stop our daily operations, including distributions of food, water, and other life-sustaining aid.
If you are able, please donate. If you cannot, we ask you to help us another way. Share this QR code with your family and friends, ask your workplace or religious community to support, organize a fundraiser, or simply help us reach someone who can.
We are asking for your help because Gaza cannot afford for this work to stop.
now imagine if they did this to protest genocide and while FIFA shrugged about the murder of hundreds of footballers in Gaza

One of the strangest things about Messi is, he has created a psychological effect in football where he’s been extraordinary for so long that people have become desensitized to his greatness.
When he produces moments of magic or carries a team to a final, it’s almost treated as expected. But if a player like Olise did the exact same thing at 25, the football world would be talking about it for years.
The standard he has set is so unbelievably high that moments that would be considered historic for others are simply considered “Messi moments.”
That might be the biggest sign of greatness: not only doing the impossible, but making the impossible feel ordinary.

Spain just needed to have no Real Madrid players in the squad to comfortably win the World Cup, it wasn’t that hard.
