Bats hibernate over winter, and as we move into November some will start their winter sleep as temperatures begin to drop.
Many of the cave systems and even old limekilns in the #YorkshireDales are important hibernation sites for bats.

This little bat is a Kuhl's pipistrelle, the 1st record for Norfolk! It was found trapped in an industrial unit in Great Yarmouth. No injuries just underweight & very thirsty, so after a few days TLC with one of our bat carers it will shortly be released back at the coast.
