My heart breaks for this city every day. Donโ€™t notice anything though, that would be the real crime.
๐Ÿšจ Birmingham On Halloween night in Birmingham, innocent people shopfronts and police vehicles on New Street were being shot at with fireworks ๐ŸŽ‡

So itโ€™s not just my area, itโ€™s across the country.
Turns out Daventry have decided to do bonfire night this evening. On Halloween. I detest this idea that our holidays can be watered down to just little spectacles we participate in once a year, and they can be bundled together to save admin headaches. No. These are institutional British holidays and they deserve all the time they need. We spend far too much money and time observing foreign holidays in Britain. If itโ€™s a budgeting issue, stop observing Indian and muslim holidays nationwide. Enough.

Iโ€™m actually getting really sick of how automated everything is now. Iโ€™m sick of seeing everything generated by AI, Iโ€™m sick of how online systems make doing the most straight forward things a complete hassle.

Example: for an entire month I have had to chase up so many people, just to get them to correct an email address and a name. Literally all someone had to do was access the account and change it, but nooo, we have to go through multiple systems and people before that can happen.

Theyโ€™re trying to cook up a โ€œFarage is a misogynistโ€ scandal, but the video literally shows absolutely nothing. These people take real-life issues and trivialise them to score points. Itโ€™s genuinely disgusting.
Shocked and bloody angry I think... it takes more than that to shake me. I may be a woman, but I'm not the snowflake here.

Reform and Restore need to find a way to work together. I dgaf anymore about Lowe and Farageโ€™s spat because now itโ€™s just harming any chance we have at fixing this country.

There seems to be a loud element in both parties who arenโ€™t actually concerned about winning, they just want to keep arguing, which suits Labour very well.

Alternatively, youโ€™re thicker than pig shit.
If you canโ€™t afford to pay your workers the minimum wage, let alone enough to live on, maybe the real problem is that your business model isnโ€™t viable ๐Ÿ’€ The way these guys talk about wages as if theyโ€™re a discretionary expense and not a basic cost of production is wild to me.

What is the left wing/liberal explanation for why so many influential people are so committed to propagating untruths about Britainโ€™s historic ethnic makeup? Why do they care so much? It strikes me as deeply *weird* and bordering on the obsessive at times.
Nearly three years later, I had a chance to actually look in the book since it is now being sold in a museum in Devon! Many lies in here. DNA shows "11% of people in Roman York were black" - there are literally NO confirmed black samples from Roman York! They just made that up! Early European Farmers in Britain had "dark brown skin" - No. The page depicting Tudor England is a joke!

Iโ€™m not coping well when it comes to how performative and puerile our politicians are. These people are nothing but shit actors who wouldnโ€™t last a day in a real job.

๐Ÿšจ SUMMARY: The OBR forecasts following John Healey's Budget - Welfare spending will rise to ยฃ431.3bn by 2030/31 - an increase of ยฃ97.5bn a year in cash terms - This includes ยฃ209.8bn on pensioner benefits, ยฃ110.7bn on Universal Credit, ยฃ69.6bn on disability benefits, ยฃ13.9bn on Child Benefit and ยฃ27.2bn on other welfare - Inflation will peak at 3.75% in early 2027, up from the earlier prediction of 2% - UK GDP growth will slow from around 1.25% in 2026 to 1% in 2027, before climbing to 1.6% in 2031 - Average UK unemployment will rise to 5.1% across 2026 and 2027 - The Employment Rights Act will "likely" have a negative economic impact because of reduced flexibility and greater uncertainty for businesses - The landlord tax increases (property income) could contribute to a long-term rise in private rents and discourage landlords from entering the market - Real household disposable income per person will be around 0.75% lower in 2030-31 than it expected in March 2026 - Higher earnings and frozen tax thresholds will increase income tax and National Insurance receipts by ยฃ9bn in 2026-27 and around ยฃ8bn on average in subsequent forecast years compared with March - Net migration is forecast to fall to 120,000 in the year to mid-2026, then gradually rise to 230,000 by the year to mid-2031 - Nominal weekly earnings growth will slow to around 3.5% in 2026, then average roughly 2.25% a year - Andy Burnham's first-time buyer scheme could raise house prices by increasing demand without enough new homes being built

Does this muppet actually do anything for her constituents other than race bait? Parliament is rife with amateurs and grifters.
I was the first Black woman MP to stand at the ministerial despatch box. Seeing @TaiwoOwatemi, @abenaopp, @Miatsf and @FloEshalomi follow makes me immensely proud. I now hope Parliamentโ€™s Black History Month debate must have a permanent place in the diary.

Youโ€™ve got to be joking? ๐Ÿคฃ Ireland is now full of people who say a black girl doing an Irish jig is just as Irish as anyone.
If this was a black African girl step-dancing in ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ชIreland, Irish people would never call her a "daughter of the soil." One of the most infuriating things about black Africans is how welcoming & open we are to people who would never return that same warmth.

In the UK state mandated multiculturalism puts cultures in competition, often with minority cultures being lifted above the culture of the natives.

I find it really amusing how upset she gets about the word curry. Foreigners have so many ignorant takes about British food and culture, but youโ€™ll never see us take it to heart like these guys do or use it as an example of prejudice.

So proud that British youth are the dumbest and most brainwashed of Europe. What an achievement.
Rare proud moment for the UK.

The amount of gay people Iโ€™m seeing lately cheering on the importation of people who literally think theyโ€™re subhuman scum has reached levels of unhinged I couldnโ€™t have imagined.
