I-645 failed — 58% of voters kept Washington's 9.9% income tax. And Democrats didn't win it honestly. But here's the part that should worry you most — it's not about millionaires anymore. We're all next:

Wrong. It says boys may not play in girls only sports.
And 57% of the voters understand that despite your deceptive headlines and $4.9 million of teacher’s union spending to lie about it
The measure bans transgender girls from competing in girls' K-12 school sports and requires documentation verifying student-athletes' biological sex. king5.com/article/news/polit…
#REALTALK: LIVE w/SARAH & BETH - Abide
As #Christ-followers, regardless of what is happening, it is important to stir ourselves up in the Lord & remember that He has already won the battle on our behalf. Abide (rest, dwell, persevere, remain) in Him.

“The counting of the ballots is generally secure; what is not secure is the database of registered voters,” says @wagop Chairman Rep. @JimWalsh.“I think the issue in election security in Washington is not on Election Day; it’s upstream of that. It’s who registers to vote in a mail-in voting state. We count on our databases to be secure and clean here because it’s a mailing list and we send a ballot out to anyone on the list. We need to do a better job of cleaning that list up.”

It is quite interesting to me that the loudest chirping about some imagined invasive exams for girls sports are the very ones insisting that boys be allowed invasive access to girls most private spaces and and in their sports.
Vote Yes I-638 Protect girls sports….

I dropped my ballot at the drop box today. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years and for the first time ever I saw a sketchy panhandler at my ballot box.
I’m done. Voted straight up red. Cancel me if you want but your blue votes are only making things worse.

Washington Democrats used to be reasonable like former governor Gary Locke, especially with spending.
Now, they are completely out of control. Let’s strike down their unconstitutional income tax by rejecting Bob’s hand-picked judges and voting YES on I-645.
Former Gov. Gary Locke said Washington voters should focus on how a proposed millionaire's tax would be spent rather than simply whether it passes.
Locke said the state is already facing a budget shortfall and says the new tax alone would not generate enough revenue to cover both existing obligations and proposed new programs.
He questioned whether lawmakers would ultimately need to raise additional taxes or reduce spending if projected revenues fall short.
Locke said the long-term funding plan should be clear before the state commits to new spending promises.

@JayInslee and I agree: Oregon has led the nation in using vote-by-mail. Donald Trump wants to take us backward, but I’m not going to let him or anybody else take away our safe and secure system.

More weekend reading.
The independent journalist @DataRepublican has been on a strong run lately. As I've posted separately, she shared video of WA Sec of State Steve Hobbs simping to an organization and called "Democracy Renewal Group" (DRG) that advocates for violent action against elected governments. Weird.
This is something else DataRepublican found from the same research that uncovered the Hobbs video. An essay published in a George Soros-funded publication that advocates for replacing elected governments with government by self-installed "elite."
This is the real goal of far-left organizations like DRG and DSA. Despite their deceitful rhetoric, they are ANTI-democratic.
Two screenshots: DataRepublican's comments (read that first); and the relevant excerpt from the Soros-funded essay.
Also, a link to the complete essay in the Soros-funded publication. If you're a glutton for bad, pseudo-academic Marxist writing, it starts on Page 21 of 209.

If this man is a preacher, run from his church. He is an abomination & uses Christianity as a tool to sway fools into believing he is good. He is not. God will judge him--a millstone is forming--& Christians must not support his nonbiblical positions lest you also be judged.

James Talarico went viral preaching about Christianity at a time when the left needed voices to counter conservative Christians. He used the viral success of that to appear on Joe Rogan in July 2025, and launch a Senate campaign two months later. His religious message is part and parcel of his persona. That makes what he preaches fair game for scrutiny.
First, he was a seminary student, not an ordained pastor.
Second nearly 2,000 years, Christian opposition to abortion has been explicit. The Didache, one of the earliest Christian writings outside the New Testament, condemns it outright. Talarico says “the Bible is silent on abortion,” that life “starts when you take your first breath,” and that “God asks for Mary’s consent… You cannot force someone to create.”
Genesis describes God breathing life into Adam, a man formed from dust. It does not say that every human life begins at first breath. Mary’s willing acceptance of bearing Jesus does not establish a right to end an existing pregnancy.
In November 2022, he filed HJR 56, proposing a constitutional amendment that would prevent the Texas Legislature from restricting abortion access when the decision was made in consultation with a licensed physician. (newadvent.org, texastribune.org, capitol.texas.gov, legiscan.com)
He has invoked creation to defend his position on biological sex.
Genesis says, “Male and female He created them,” Talarico stood on the Texas House floor opposing legislation requiring school sports participation to be separated by biological sex, “God is both masculine and feminine and everything in between. God is nonbinary.”
In a separate committee hearing, he said there were “six” biological sexes, listing chromosome variations as additional sexes. Now that he is running statewide though, he says there are two sexes and acknowledges that his earlier statement was wrong. He also says he was “being provocative” with the nonbinary remark. That’s only because he can’t win on that message in a national race.
The racial language he used is also disqualifying.
After Ahmaud Arbery’s killing, he wrote: “White skin gives me and every white American immunity from the virus. But we spread it wherever we go—through our words, our actions, and our systems. We don’t have to be showing symptoms—like a white hood or a Confederate flag—to be contagious.”
You can’t say that about any race or religion that’s called collective guilt and we don’t practice that as Christians.
Christianity requires us to confront injustice and examine our own conduct. It’s a personal commandment not a collective one.
The pattern is that Talarico repeatedly presents disputed political conclusions under the authority of Christian teaching.
Jesus warned us: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing.” He also gave us the test: “By their fruits ye shall know them.”
He chose to run on his Christian worldview, he should be judged by it. And if you are a Christian his public distortion of Christianity is disqualifying. And if you’re not a Christian his position on multiple genders and his refusal to protect women in sports is also disqualifying.
