Love to think they've thought about this but...

Right, so what if a fully loaded semi, leaving Port Miami, with a 80,000lb container is stopped on the far-edge shoulder? Or multiple? in the rightmost lane, during a traffic jam?

What if a loaded semi-trailer (heading from Port Miami) is stopped on the shoulder, on the far edge?

For real. As a sometimes driver, I've never had a speeding ticket, never had a red light camera, nor an automated speed enforcement ticket. Also, never been towed.
Yet, by some politicians, it's presented as a "tax" on working class folks. Are we missing something?

Not the beams -- the single centered pier holding the whole thing up.
Someone please explain these "small" piers* holding up the entire roadway.
* a single pier, centered, relative to the width of the upper deck.

Just to be clear, the rail is already there. It's building the stations and other infrastructure needed to support commuter service.

79th street is a no brainer and we've consistently been calling for a stop there.

Maybe they should take the bus ;-)
Some @MiamiDadeCounty buses took about an hour to pass the arena last night, after the game ended.

Yes, agreed. However, MBPD by policy does not engage in vehicle pursuits, for the reason you stated, its dangerous!
Internet, what do you think of this?
Drones, License Plate Readers, and GPS dart technology are some of the many initiatives I have brought to make our city safer. (bit.ly/DroneDartLPR)
This weekend, they all worked together. Our LPR cameras flagged a stolen vehicle entering Miami Beach. Our drone tracked it, an officer tagged it with a GPS dart, and all five suspects were arrested after fleeing.
Technology is a force multiplier. I’ll keep bringing initiatives to make @MiamiBeachNews the safest city in America.

As I said before, I welcome autonomous vehicles, but if they're privately owned, single-occupant vehicles rather than shared ones, they won't "solve" traffic in any way, shape, or form.
