BREAKING: We’re getting cell phones OUT of our classrooms here in Pennsylvania. I just signed a statewide, bipartisan bell-to-bell cell phone ban into law. During the school day, students should be focused on learning, making friends, and building skills critical to their development — not focused on their phones. I’ve heard parents, teachers, and students loud and clear on this: too much screen time is hurting our kids both at school and at home. So we took action. I’m proud that we got this done.

There’s one reason — and one reason only — why the minimum wage here in Pennsylvania is still $7.25: The @PASenateGOP. And they just left town AGAIN without getting it done.

BREAKING: The PA House and Senate just officially passed a bell-to-bell ban to get cell phones out of our classrooms. I called for this in my Budget Address and repeatedly urged the legislature to act — and now, we've brought Democrats and Republicans together to get this done for our students and our educators.
