I can’t believe Maddy is already 5 months old today 🥹 this has definitely been the hardest month so far, but that is contrasted by many milestones and the joyspren her smile fills our home with 💕@BrandSanderson #stormblessed

Why do I get the feeling the future of mRNA translation imaging is very bright? The string of papers from the Baker lab on de novo designed protein binders in the last few months is seriously mind blowing. Happy holidays for us all. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
Hung artwork of our frameshift work that @tim_stasevich gifted me! Still excited to see follow-up work on the viral frameshifting mechanisms (cell.com/molecular-cell/pdfE…) thanks again @tim_stasevich for the gifts!

My grant score just posted and it's showing a designation I have never seen before: "No Discussion" (or something like that). Kudos to NIH for this new mechanism to streamline grants that are so inarguably strong that "No Discussion" was required. I guess I just await the NOA?
