I am embarrassed as I had such good views of this bird but I am not certain what it is! My 1st thoughts were Merlin and looking in my bird book that is what I decided! Am I correct? If it is a Merlin @BTO_Shropshire @sosbirding will be interested as it was right on the boundary.

As well as the F Merlin (you have never seen one then you have 2 in a month!), highlights were 5 Grey Wagtails together, 1 Snipe, 6 PF Geese, m Stonechat, Skylarks, Lapwings, Reed Buntings, GC Grebes, Tufties, Ravens, Buzzards and mixed emotions with Sparrowhawk in garden

We saw a couple of Ural Owls during the Japan trip, but neither was very active and we had to wait some time to get shots with the birds eyes open.
