A lot of people don't like TAO because they keep updating the protocol, sometimes new features, sometimes tweaks to existing features. But AI is an arms race; you have to move fast or you'll get left behind. Consequently, the speed that the protocol improves at, is one reason why I like Bittensor so much.

$TAO Bittensor will soon give subnet owners more autonomy over how emissions are distributed.
If you’re a visual learner, this ELI5 video will probably help.
Get familiar with eTAO before it goes on-chain.
Your validator can keep doing its job and still have fewer rewards to share.
In $TAO Bittensor, the merged eTAO code would let subnet owners move alpha rewards from the validator bucket to miners. That could help fund the work a product needs, while leaving less for the alpha stakers paid from that bucket.
Root is paid from that bucket too. Protecting its calculated reference share doesn’t mean protecting your alpha staking yield.
Before choosing a position by APY, understand who can change the split. I followed 100 alpha through eTAO to show where the extra miner rewards come from and who receives less.

The main $SOL account mentioning a $TAO Bittensor subnet is really interesting.
This must mean something relevant happening here at @openroboto right?
JUST IN: SN80 (@openroboto), the largest robotics subnet on @bittensor, integrates peaqOS
All devices now have an ID and wallet on Solana, and can be verified and paid for their performance directly on Solana using @peaq

I noticed there’s been some confusion around this update.
In simple terms it just increases the miner cap per subnet from 256 to 2,500.
This is great for subnets that experience UID pressure (miners hogging UIDs as a way to deter competition) or those with commodities that scale with the amount of miners (speed of data collection, amount of compute providers etc)

Null consensus scales Bittensor subnets 10x and allows POW registration (no Tao needed for an agent to mine).
First step adding more freedom and scale to our incentive systems.

Bittensor recently released Null Consensus, a major protocol update expanding subnet capacity from 256 to 2,500 participants.
It introduces a new way to determine miner rewards, giving subnet owners an alternative to Yuma Consensus.

Was invited to Exploit Summit this year but unfortunately couldn't make it.
Been following from the sidelines though and its honestly bonkers seeing the progress around $TAO.
So many SN's shipping, generating real revenue.
And const absolutely cooked with that opening speech.

The first Bittensor $TAO halving happened last year.
The next will be in 3 years.
Before this happens. The first SUBNETS halving will happen.
OG subnets are at about 25% of their total tokens already minted, which took about 1.5 years.
So in roughly 2 years you get the first subnet halving (after collecting 40% APY) and a year later the second $TAO halving.
Sure you can sell everything today... weak hands

The move that made everyone euphoric and screaming “bull market is back” is basically done.
There’s no fuel left.
I expect a full retrace from here and new lows after that.
