Replying to @chamath
Pretty much.
As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers.
SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue.
That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.
REAX 1.2 is out as open weights under Apache-2.0, a fine-tune of REAX 1.

When you send a prompt to Chutes with E2EE, it runs inside a hardware-attested TEE with end-to-end encryption. We can't read it, and neither can anyone who asks us for it.
Even holding the TLS certificate for chutes.ai, we don't see prompts or responses. If we were ever ordered to hand them over, all anyone would get is ciphertext.
The whole stack is open source, so you don't have to take our word for it.

Those were also the best times to buy bitcoin. 🤷♂️
There's atleast one thing pumping: my game dev activity lol @fenwild_game
Can't wait to open public signups. I'm enjoying the creation process, though it's extremely complicated to make something that feels like a coherent ecosystem
The hard parts are making a good game economy, art and smart AIs

Is GOLD really a SAFE ASSET? 🔥
A U.S. startup claims it has turned MERCURY into GOLD, that can be indistinguisable from naturally-mined GOLD.
Startup Marathon Fusion says it produced stable gold at 10x CERN's record rate, raising questions about whether lab-made gold could eventually DISRUPT the TRILLION-dollar bullion market.
The potential implications are HUGE:
- A future 1GW fusion plant could theoretically produce around 5 tonnes of gold annually.
- 100 such plants could add 500 tonnes annually, equivalent to roughly 14% of global gold mine production in 2025.
- Lab-made gold would be indistinguishable from mined gold once safe for use.
The breakthrough remains independently UNVERIFIED and the start up has NOT disclosed how much gold it produced or the cost of the process.
If proven and commercially scalable, this could be a MAJOR technological breakthrough capable of reshaping the GOLD trade.
Could MERCURY become GOLD's biggest nemesis?
The next major cycle pivot is approaching in a few days.
Its consistency has proven itself across 600+ days of price action. 11 out of 11 times, we’ve seen an inverse move in $BTC against the narrative. Clinical cycles.
We’re still building a noticeably bearish narrative into this pivot. If it follows the pattern of every pivot before it, that points to an inverse move to the upside for BTC, likely at least 5% in the opposite direction.
We might not see a major move just yet, but this is what I’ll be watching when the time comes.
In due time, $BTC will make its move.
The next major cycle pivot is in a few more days.

Two years ago, Hippius was a storage network on Bittensor.
Today it’s a full cloud platform. Encrypted storage for files, S3 for your apps, confidential VMs, AI model registry and a CDN.
A platform like that deserves a website to match.
Meet the new hippius.com👇
Kind of questions I'm having these days is like:
With AI doing everything on demand, what is the value of software?
What will people want to pay for?
Which jobs a software engineer will do?
Are jobs that require impartial judgment better off with AI decisions replacing humans?
What's the point of entertainment when nothing you consume has value?

The $TAO subnets I think are hurting Bittensor are those with big promises and poor results.
Let's think about launching a fictive subnet for a second: how do you do this to profit from fools?
1. make a plan about a catchy idea that people will likely vibe with instantly
2. make a glossy website
3. hire a known dev or someone with credentials
4. prepare the launch with pre-launch advertisement
5. when it lands make it big and keep a social interest at all times
6. pump the price as much as possible
7. exit your positions
8. let the product stagnate
9. get deregistered to get back your subnet purchase as a tao refund
10. start start again or launch many in parallel using same methods
When dTao grows a pair of balls these scams won't happen anymore. But as long as people are gulible it will be easy to extract money from you. Do your own research, like in any other crypto. There are no easy money gains
btw, Lium is not one of the $TAO subnets i have anything against
i frequently hear that it's not right that Lium became top bittensor subnet because it's just providing gpus... fair it seems like low effort on the surface...
but you need to understand that the same 8xh200 server could be rented at 1.10$/hr/gpu last year and now it sells like hot bread fresh out of the oven up to 4$/hr/gpu
Lium's strenght is that there is a worldwide gpu shortage. everyone is looking out to rent gpus like these and it sells almost at whatever the price a provider sets.
Lium has compute available while other platforms dont.
They also do retarded Lium buybacks, the biggest share of buybacks of all 128 bittensor subnets.
So Lium is NOT one of the problems bittensor has btw, very important to understand this. In fact, without subnets like Lium, many other subnets wouldnt even have compute to run with
so for as long as gpus sell, this subnet will just keep on rising because there is infinite demand for compute right now
Quantumglow.
Solana has been early in quantum readiness and remains ahead in its preparation.
What would Solana’s consensus look like in a post-quantum world?
Meet Quantumglow: a proposed adaptation of Alpenglow that aims to protect consensus while preserving fast finality.
@jacobvcreech and @qkniep explain how it works. Full video below👇
Why is Chutes SN64 not performing like Lium?
Because it sells secure inference, and inference cost did not 4x like GPUs costs
There will come a time though, pretty sure, where Chutes will do a massive come back with surprising tech progress nobody believes is even possible.
This is still the only subnet I hold long-term. All the others i just rotate.

Frontier labs are advancing the capabilities in AI for biology but preventing the good guys (scientists, academia, non-profits, health agencies,...) to use, study and understand it with widespread but shallow guardrails that the bad guys are bypassing easily (blocked me to proofread this tweet for example 😅).
This will automatically create massive assymetry and risks in the coming years, just like in cybersecurity, especially now that frontier labs are building wet labs (HF cybersecurity scenario for biology when?).
This is why we created Carbon-X, the best open-source DNA model by midtraining Qwen3-14B on 300B tokens of DNA, English and interleaved data. We also used a hybrid tokenizer that tokenizes English with BPE and DNA with a 6-mer tokenizer.
As a result, Carbon-X outperforms all open language models we evaluated on five benchmarks of DNA understanding and generation. This is a 27-point improvement over Qwen3-14B, showing how much a language model can gain from DNA training. It is also API frontier level at 1,800x less cost than GPT 6.1 Sol!
We hope Carbon-X helps researchers explore DNA in new ways. Releasing it openly means anyone can study its capabilities, limitations, and risks. Let's make the AI biology frontier open-source to make it safe and impactful for the whole world (not just a few companies).
