Preliminary findings suggest the intrusion may have been executed by the same threat actors responsible for the simultaneous exploit targeting Brazil's major crypto exchange, Mercado Bitcoin.
Xia disclosed that recent restructuring has left BitMart operating with a bare-bones core team facing severe understaffing across its security operations, exacerbated by doxxing, user threats, and retaliatory actions from disgruntled former employees, though the remaining staff is making every effort to protect remaining systems, user data, and platform assets.

Every day of the year, for our low time preference financial existence, we have to adhere to Bitcoin Saving Time.
Last night Washington moved the clocks back an hour.
The House and Senate have been debating whether to put this nonsense to bed or not.

So how can we expect them to agree on what money is?
At least with Bitcoin we know the time, every 10 minutes, and without an artificial fall-back or spring-forward.
