My updated political classification of the Americas following Brazil’s stolen election, excluding CARICOM and European territories.
Red: Brazil, Cuba, Nicaragua
— Undemocratic leftist evil
Pink: Canada, Mexico
— Democratic leftist evil
Beige: Venezuela
— In transition
Purple: Guatemala, Uruguay
— Democratic leftist governments amenable to constructive engagement
Blue: The Americas of Liberty
— Civilized, sovereign, electorally legitimate governments reflecting their nations’ center-right mainstream
For this classification, “democratic” refers to a system in which elections are held regularly, free from blatant state-orchestrated falsification, with incumbents accepting defeat and subsequently relinquishing power.
(This designation does not imply the absence of widespread corruption, street violence, extortion, or other serious institutional failures that are not, in themselves, determinative.)

In Tokyo, you're never far from a police office.
The city has decided that, instead of using just big precincts, they'll distribute their cops across tiny stations so police are always nearby.
It works great!
My latest article talks about how being closer to police officers reduces crime more
It then applies this to the police system in Japan, and describeshow if we applied it to other places, it could be used to dramatically reduce crime at a low cost

Reminder that Charlie’s murder SHOULD have been a unifying moment for the right, but it wasn’t because lunatic grifters like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens took advantage of it to push insane conspiracy theories without any care for how that might divide the right. They deserve your rage just as much as the left does, if not more because they were supposed to be on “our side”.

Iranian security forces and plainclothes officers broke up a Halloween gathering in central Tehran on Friday evening, beating and detaining people and forcing nearby cafes to close, witnesses and sources told Iran International.
Young people wearing Halloween costumes and makeup had gathered on Iranshahr Street, a popular area for cafes and cultural activities near Tehran's Artists Park (Park Honarmandan), when traffic police and local police officers blocked the road, according to sources familiar with the incident.
Members of the Basij, a paramilitary force affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and plainclothes security personnel then moved in to disperse the crowd.
An eyewitness said the operation extended beyond those celebrating Halloween, with families spending the evening in Artists Park also ordered to leave.
"It was like the protests. They were running after people and shouting, 'Disperse!'" the witness told Iran International.

Presidential Message on Reformation Day:
From the earliest days of our Republic, prayer and faith in Almighty God have stood as the foundation of our strength, the source of our unity, and the fount of our greatness. This Reformation Day, I send my best wishes to the countless Christians across our country commemorating the Protestant Reformation and its enduring message of salvation by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Five hundred years ago, William Tyndale — inspired by the work of Martin Luther — advanced the Protestant Reformation’s devotion to Holy Scripture through the publication of the first New Testament printed in English, shaping the language of the Bibles that would fortify the faith and resolve of America’s founding generation.
The Sacred Scriptures helped form the religious convictions that formed our young Nation’s founding ideals of God-given rights and individual liberty, a spiritual inheritance we honor as we continue to reflect on 250 glorious years of American Independence. The Bible remains a cornerstone of our Nation’s character and upholds our steadfast devotion to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Guided by an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, my Administration is working to restore the moral and religious foundations that have sustained our Republic for generations. As President, I will always support citizens of faith and defend their place in the public square, honoring the enduring role of our churches in strengthening families, serving communities, and preserving the core values that have anchored us across the centuries.
As Christians across our country unite in faith and fellowship this Reformation Day, I send my heartfelt prayers for a meaningful celebration and encourage each of you to draw renewed strength from God’s Word as we carry forward the blessings of faith and freedom throughout our beloved Nation.

Arsonist Bass > Anarchist Raman
Spencer Pratt’s Substack today confirms he agrees:
Bass is bad, but Raman will be worse.
You should read the whole thing but here are key excerpts:
“Time to Embrace the Humiliation Ritual and Pick Your Poison”
“everyone has to vote” and choose between “the lady who ruined your city, or vote for the lady who also ruined your city and will accelerate its decline even more”
“The risk with the accelerationist approach is that it puts way too much faith in LA voters to course correct when things get bad enough. They likely won’t.”
He doesn’t need to say more.
And if Spencer can write and publish these words, as obviously painful as it must have been for him to do so, you can certainly fill in a little bubble on a piece of paper and then keep on fighting, just like him.
Thank you, Spencer, for your leadership. We are lucky to have you.
