Final Fantasy Resonance is my game of the week, this week. The demo left me very confident and excited for what’s to come on release day. Almost there! @FinalFantasy
I finally checked out the Final Fantasy Resonance demo. I was excited for the game before but after spending 9 hours roaming around, the polish, the charm and the overall style further convinced me this is going to be a must play. Check out my demo impressions👇🏽 @FinalFantasy youtu.be/wYbv4LXjbn0?is=sRPe…

Phantom Blade 0: Acolyte Yanru It didn't take too long before I encountered a ranged boss. Luckily I have a weapon that allows me some range also, and I'm not talking about the bow. Battles like this is exactly what tipsy and drunk state was made for. Take a swig and go to town!

Phantom Blade 0: Mu Xiaokui, Jade Dancer & Iron Fiend This was a metric 3-phase battle that really took some quick reflexes and staying aggressive in the later phases to really knock this out. Battles like this have had many people complaining since release about checkpointing boss progress and no enemy respawns and I'll say this... How do we know we don't like something if developers don't implement it first? Souls and action players have seen games like these implemented largely one way for decades, and I'm glad to see it done differently here. The longer I've played with the bosses checkpointed, the more I appreciate the team respecting my time. Also, the lack of respawns has helped me identify areas I haven't encountered yet... S-Game created new rules for their new action game, and I've been enjoying it A LOT more than I thought I would.

No lie…it’s extremely difficult being excited about this. Fallout 3 and Oblivion were the games that gravitated me towards Bethesda originally. Ever since they were picked up by Microsoft, we haven’t seen their best; and a new name reveal doesn’t generate much excitement after a title reveal almost 10 years ago. This is their last opportunity to salvage their brand. With the competition elevated so much since Starfield and before that Fallout 4, Sentinel needs to truly be great, not good and definitely not mid.
Embark on your next journey to Tamriel in The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel.

Phantom Blade 0: Dusk the Puppeteer This boss thought he could outmatch me with numbers, and I beat him so bad he couldn't duplicate himself in the second half... I love that the more I uncover about this game, the more I am loving how this story is being told. It can definitely be confusing if you're not paying attention, or if you came only for the combat; but this team clearly wanted to deliver a full experience; and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

Phantom Blade 0: Aberrant Three Faced Puppet For my entire playthrough so far, I'm constantly told, you can't beat her, she's too difficult right now, all the typical gateway messages toward self-defeat. Anyone who knows me, knows I don't play those games. You put a wall in front of me, I'm gonna blow through it, or find a way around it. Period. And that's exactly what I taught Soul, and this three headed puppet right here.

Phantom Blade 0: Gold Masked One At some point, I need to share a list of my top 10 favorite boss fights of all time; and when I do, you will absolutely find the Gold Masked One on that list. A ton of criteria go into that list for me personally, and obviously difficulty plays a huge role. But another huge factor is how cinematic you can make the battle feel with little things like moments of pause, slow walk ups, short breaks in between the battle as if you're fighting in artificial rounds. Moments in battle that just feel so realistic. Gold Masked One is a boss that needs you to nail your red and blue flash counters or you just don't deserve to be in the room. This fight came down to the wire for me with no heals, a constant heartbeat reminding me of imminent death and pure instinct...and honestly, I would have it no other way. Very few battles in their entirety have me gripping the controller with so much determination, patience, flash and excitement, that it easily earned a spot on this list.

Whoever solves the physical issue in gaming, will dominate. GOG, go for it!
GOG wants to bring physical PC games back. The idea is to let players buy boxed versions of games directly from their GOG library and have them delivered to their homes. “We need to think about logistics. We need to think about storage,” The company would also need approval from publishers to produce and sell physical copies. GOG has been discussing the idea for years, but there are still plenty of challenges to overcome. “I really hope that at some point we will be able to do it,”

I love seeing people experiencing Crimson Desert on here for the first time. Reminds me of how great its release was and how amazing the community has been about sharing information and helping each other out. It’s still such a phenomenal game with a great team behind it, and a great community. This game will stand the test of time for years.

Phantom Blade 0: Vistas & Combat When this game wants to flex, it flexes hard. New location reveals are amazing, inviting you in to explore and discover. Boss fights are introduced with a high level of cinematic mastery. Whenever I encounter a boss for the first time, I slide up closer to the screen, put the controller down for a second and just marvel at the extreme details…skin texture, eye movement, sword placement, hair strands, sweat beads, clothing texture. The game was made for these moments. The excitement of a new encounter, the calm of the protagonist, versus the words of the opponent, and a music track that ranges from Chinese hints and tones to heavy metal and even lofi Chinese rap beats that hit so hard… It’s at this pinnacle of combat, that I focus all of my attention to dance in battle with precision or risk game over, which is the ultimate immersion breaker.

Phantom Blade 0: 5 Hour Impressions My excitement for this game has gone back about 2 years when I really started seeing what it was trying to do. I was mind blown by the speed of attacks, wondering how good you have to be to pull this stuff off. With 5 hours in so far, and a metric ton of action games I’ve played, this game feels effortless to play. Anyone from any skill level can pick this game up and make Soul do some amazing things in combat. And I think that is one of the best things I can say about a game like this, where the typical mentality is either “Get Gud” or die trying. I’ve already picked up 5 weapons, each of them feel different and have completely different move sets. On top of that, there is weapon switching. So if you know a combo is about to finish with one weapon, switch to your second weapon and keep the combo going. I can’t tell you how good it feels to play it with words alone. It’s something you just have to experience yourself. Parry and dodge mechanics are a part of every game nowadays, and they feel really good here. The parry window is very forgiving, and I think it needed to be for the combat to flow as well as it does. Regular enemies are for the most part trash mobs. But there are mini bosses that break things up a bit, and then bosses themselves really take the stage. Rewards for beating a boss is typically a new weapon, which is the best reward, especially with over 30 weapons in the lineup. The game feels amazing to play so far. Story is moving a bit rushed if I’m being honest. I think S-Game could’ve taken their time a bit more in how they are delivering the story, but it’s coming together fine enough. Exploration is also very awesome. You learn right away that there are many unique quests you can interact with, when you have the right item to do so. But it’s forcing me to take my time and look around before I continue on. There are side quests that you come across, and when you identify these, they will populate on your map (which looks awesome) to help you keep track. My cons with the game so far, is with the way the story is paced and overall told at times. I’m listening to it in Chinese which is the preferred way for me. Other than that, there is some invisible geometry that I do get stuck on from time to time, and I did have one crash. Aside from that, I’ve been so drawn into this game. The combat loop has me absolutely hooked, and I’m still curious about the overall story, the lore of the world and the people I’m helping along the way.

I seriously never thought I would find an IGN article of all places in this day with a thought that was spot on. China knows full well that Western gaming is a joke right now, and they are taking advantage.
IGN CHINA is based as AF: 🇨🇳 "In the foreseeable future, when Western game creators are stuck in a creative rut, held hostage by political correctness, and bound by highly industrialized commercial logic, producing one mass-produced, industrial garbage game after another , then let Chinese game creators teach them a lesson and make them relearn what a high-quality, content-rich AAA game should look like." At the rate we’re going on a Wednesday night, wouldn’t be surprised to see over 750k to a cool million on this gem by the weekend. When gamers find the game they want to play, doesn’t matter what day it is, we show up for it. The numbers ALWAYS tell the tale. Don’t let anyone tell you different.

Final Fantasy Resonance: The Warrior of Light "The light will always be with us." The Warrior of Light is the epitome of all that is righteous in Final Fantasy. The unofficial mascot of all that is good, represented throughout all of the games in the series. His presence in Resonance, adds such a level of flare and regality the game, and his voice amplifies it even further.

Watched an awesome interview with @itmeJP @CohhCarnage and @WillJPowers discussing the upcoming DLC for Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown. I had a lot of questions going into its release this week, and they were all addressed in the conversation. I put well over 200 hours into this game, and deciding to start a new game to experience all the additions fresh, specifically around the story is something I now plan to do. Crimson Desert has always hit different on many levels, and I think this new content will do so again. @CrimsonDesert_ youtu.be/Ed8TlPPb5SE?is=_Q-A…
