The Black Poplar restoration project is fundraising for DNA tests to identify trees suitable for taking cuttings from to propagate new trees to be planted in Thames-side locations. Donate 👇for Black Poplar trees to be planted crowdfunder.co.uk/p/help-res… @TiCLme @OxTweets
Black Poplar trees are distinctive along the Thames Path, mainly because there are so few of them! A new project aims to restore Black Poplars through the Thames valley by using DNA tests to identify suitable trees for propagating and planting to create a connected network of new trees along the Thames, helping restore a species that's been part of the landscape for centuries. Please donate 👇 crowdfunder.co.uk/p/qr/qW8YX… @OxTweets @OxfordFAS @JohnMTippetts @TiCLme

Being a big fan of the BBC series Ghosts, I went to the cinema this afternoon to see the movie version... and it was such an enjoyable experience. The audience laughed all the way through it, which was infectious, so I had many hearty laughs myself. Such a positive feel-good film. Highly recommended. So if you are umming & ahhing about going, do go. You'll enjoy it!

Ai Art Prompt Share Party 🥳 🎨👇🏻 One magnificent sunflower bows toward the rising sun in a quiet autumn garden. Build the scene as a luminous stained-glass mosaic, with golden petals, ruby leaves, lavender shadows, and tiny jewel-like dew droplets. Curved glass pieces form gentle ripples of morning light through the background. Tactile grout lines, radiant translucent color, strong floral focal point, calm open composition, no readable text.

This weathered fingerpost on the Thames Path National Trail near Ashton Keynes was in the ground for at least 20 years. After it was removed by the volunteers (and replaced with a new post) it was made into one of the Thames Path 30th anniversary Relay Batons. @DailyPicTheme2 #Weathered
