Apparently this is where the AI era started 😅 If I had beaten that bot in 2017, maybe the world would be a very different place now I had a chance to stop AI, but …

#ReactNative is not a one-time architecture decision. It is a set of tradeoffs teams revisit as apps, tooling, and platforms change. Explore the real-world choices with our panel on September 30th: luma.com/f8tzy15t Featuring @GroundControl, @ccheever, @mazenchami, @GantLaborde, & @BrandonMathis!

Very excited to publicly launch @roomote! I’ve spent the last year deeply immersed in cloud agents, and it’s become very clear to me that: 1) Everyone will be relying heavily on cloud agents soon (and hopefully closing their laptops all-the-way). 2) It’s critical to have the flexibility to use both closed weight and open weight models (including local models as they get easier to run), bring your existing subscriptions, run on your own infrastructure, etc. 3) As tempting as it can be to build a cloud agent framework yourself, I can vouch that it’s still very hard to do well while keeping up with how fast the industry is moving. So we built Roomote - a source-available, model-agnostic, self-hostable cloud agent platform. We think it’s the sweet spot between using a closed provider and committing to building and maintaining the system yourself. Would love any and all feedback! More 👇

What if the most important #AI tooling decision isn't which model you use? @BrandonMathis argues it's the harness around the model. After more than a year with @Claudeai Code, he started exploring #Pi and found that control, customization, and extensibility mattered more than he expected. In this demo, he walks through the switch, the tradeoffs, and why open coding agents are gaining attention. Watch the full breakdown: youtube.com/watch?v=Sphk79pi…

A lot of the conversation around coding agents focuses on the model. The harness layer is just as important. It’s what controls tools, execution flow, permissions, and the structure around how agents actually operate. Really solid breakdown of how systems like @Claudeai Code and #Codex work under the hood. Review the anatomy of a harness with @BrandonMathis. Link in bio!

1/ At @ThisDotLabs, I built a Codex Plugin, called Build Web Data Visualization with DevEx Lead @coreyching from OpenAI. With this plugin, Codex uses image gen to design the app and then implements it really well. See the examples below. Claude can’t do this!🧵

Running coding agents remotely in the cloud starts to feel very different from traditional #AI-assisted development. @BrandonMathis shows how @claudeai Code can run entirely in the cloud, connect directly to repos, execute workflows remotely, and open PRs without touching your local machine. Really interesting glimpse into where asynchronous agent workflows are heading. Endless #AI enablement insights on our YouTube channel: youtube.com/@ThisDotMedia

People of pi.dev. Do not install.by via any method other than what's shown on the website and in the docs. E.g. we do not publish to brew and never will. Someone else did. We have zero control over what goes into the brew release.

A lot of teams are running into the same issue with #AI-assisted development right now: The agent can generate code quickly, but reliability starts breaking down when non-deterministic systems are handling deterministic work. @BrandonMathis and Coston Perkins unpack where agents actually fit into modern engineering workflows, and where teams should be leaning more on scripts, validation tooling, CI pipelines, and repeatable automation. They cover: • The difference between agents building workflows vs becoming the workflow • How deterministic systems reduce hallucinations and hidden failures • Real examples involving database migrations, CI automation, financial reporting, and code cleanup Check it out: youtube.com/watch?v=o3pOb98E…

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach. The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.
