Been MIA for awhile. Investing in $HXS.TO and paying down debt. With that said, the energy play seems to be in full swing. Where are we at? Anyone still like O&G or are we fully on board with nuclear? #uranium #oil #investing

Drill baby drill only works if the infrastructure, funding, and skilled labor force exist. They do not..
Rig counts not moving at all. No signs of drill baby drill anywhere.

Agreed. They have the large stack (poker reference). We need to heal relations, not instigate further. If we push back too hard they will respond and we will lose. Moving forward though, we need to utilize our natural resources to build the wealth required to cut the cord from the US. Build the pipelines. Deregulate our O&G sector. Lose the carbon tax. It’s not that hard!
The Trump administration’s self chosen trade war is a watershed moment for Canadian foreign and commercial policy. Treating an ally as an enemy is an abnormal practice in the history of Western diplomacy. But with Donald Trump at the helm, the past is no longer a reliable guide to understanding or forecasting American policy. How should Canada respond to the American tariffs? An initial priority is to determine if there is a pathway to a negotiated settlement is not a simple task, as the Americans have yet to specify what it would take to make peace. A second option is to hit back. Canada has already announced a schedule for retaliatory tariffs, covering some $155 billion of goods imported from the United States; all of these are slated to be in place by the end of March. While the political impulse and pressure to respond in kind is understandable, retaliation will magnify the economic damage to Canada from the U.S. tariffs. Finding a way to end the conflict if that is possible is far superior to a series of tit-for-tat bilateral tariffs. Source: Fraser institute

Trump “hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I’m going to tank the market but this will give you a great buying opportunity for when I pump the markets afterwards, maybe the greatest buying opportunity ever, created by me” Anyone else think this is what happened at 🥭 man’s inauguration? #stockmarketcrash
