Eve did not talk with any animal. Moses used metaphors and figure of speech in his writings. The bible calls it dark sayings of old. That's why we have the epistles that revealed and explained what happened in the old testament.
Moses painted pictures that his immediate audience could understand. Using the word serpent for the devil. And in revelation, the bible calls satan the old serpent.
I don't know why Christians who reads the bible still think that Eve was literally talking to animals in the garden of Eden. Even the conversation was in the mind. It was a temptation in her thought and she fell for it.
Why didn’t Eve find it strange that a serpent was talking to her? 🤔
In Genesis 3:1, the Bible says the serpent was more craft than any of the wild animals the Lord had made.
The serpent spoke to Eve, here is the intrigues part about this situation.
Did Adam and Eve have some form of communication with animals in the Garden of Eden? Was talking to animals a normal part of their experience? Or was this an extraordinary moment that Eve simply didn’t question?
She even responded, she engaged in a conversation, and the serpent continued speaking as though this was perfectly normal.
I’m not suggesting the Bible says animals routinely spoke to them I’m simply curious. I’ve been thinking about this Genesis 3 account for some time, and I just thought I should share.
