ALT Advertisement flyer for the Verena Fellows-in-Residence program, which includes a network visualization and a note that applications are due May 15. Program description reads: Spend 6-12 months working with an Institute mentor on an open science project related to emerging viruses! Plus: a $5k award and invitations to Verena workshops. Projects should have a strong empirical or computational component, but could span any number of topics, e.g.: Using AlphaFold to simulate host-virus protein interactions; forecasting spillover hotspots for avian influenza; model-guided viral discovery from museum collections; detecting climate change impacts on viral reservoirs.
