Jay-Z's The Shawn Carter Foundation introduces Champions for Financial Legacy (CFFL), a new financial education initiative empowering students at HBCUs and surrounding communities. CFFL, developed in collaboration with The Coalition for Equity and Opportunity at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, aims to close the wealth gap by providing students with financial knowledge and skills for economic success and social mobility. Budgeting, market risks and returns, mutual funds, credit scores and stock markets are all part of the plan. Jay-Z's mother, Dr. Gloria Carter, who's the CEO and Cofounder of Shawn Carter Foundation, looks forward to witnessing how students will benefit from CFFL, which is supported by Toyota Motor North America. “Every day at the Shawn Carter Foundation, we dedicate ourselves to uplifting students and communities that are underserved,” she says. “To launch a financial education program that will reach more students and communities, along with dedicated partners like Toyota and the Wharton School of Business, is a vision we are finally seeing come to fruition. We are so excited to see the incredible impact of CFFL unfold and look forward to its growth.”
