Handwritten notes from Edmonton man who pleaded guilty to manufacturing and possessing illegal firearms earlier this year mention #BillC21 — the 2023 #GunControl legislation that froze handgun sales & cracked down on ghost guns. Before his arrest, Tucker was a legal firearms owner who held a possession & acquisition licence (PAL) and and one for restricted firearms (RPAL). In an August 2025 conversation, Van Rootselaar asked ChatGPT to produce a scenario about her attacking a college campus with a Remington 870 pump-action shotgun and causing maximum carnage. (After she) added 'hypothetically' to her prompt. ChatGPT then produced the content, describing in vivid language the tactical qualities of the weapon and where it would be effective. 26-yr-old dead after being shot by Toronto police in #NorthYork last Saturday afternoon. Vehicle was involved in collision & man attempted to flee scene. Officers encountered man who was in possession of a firearm. "There was an interaction between the man and two officers, and one of the officers discharged his firearm".
