Why coaching matters:
The Islanders sit 7-4-2 through their first 13 games.
The power play and penalty kill look more confident and crisp.
They’ve done it without Barzal, Romanov, Ritchie, Maccelli, Pulock and a makeshift 4th line.
It’s early, but it speaks volumes about DeBoer getting the team to buy in.
That’s what good coaching does.

Today marked my first time back at the RCR Museum since it was turned into a vigil site/memorial to Kyle Busch in May.
