Great to see our recent paper with @Ivana75154822 on protein synthesis featured in @ScienceMagazine.
Interesting Professor Filipe @Cabreiro_Lab has been referenced as an 'ageing researcher', he is quite sprightly for his age!

ALT Professor Filipe Cabreiro, head of the Host-Microbe Co-Metabolism group at the MRC LMS and fellow author of the paper concluded: “This study is the first to show decreasing protein errors extends lifespan. With an ageing population and many people experiencing ill-health as they grow older, it is more important than ever that we be able to facilitate healthy ageing. “Our results pave the way for identifying novel interventions to do exactly that.”

Happy to have been part of this exciting study. Congrats to everyone involved!
Latest work from our lab is now online @Nature highlighting a new dimension of gut bacteria-drug interactions. We show that common medications are accumulated by gut bacteria and impact their metabolism through enzyme binding. nature.com/articles/s41586-0…

Ever wanted to see how cool C. elegans is to study host-microbe interactions? Look no further, my traveller, for the answer is in front of you. Really funny review to write (and to read, I hope) with my twitterless coleague Cassandra, and @Cabreiro_Lab
