The city of Malibu is urging all residents, even those not under evacuation orders, to get ready to leave.
“We dealt with winds gusts up to 100 miles per hour last night,” said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Erik Scott.
Popular seafood restaurant The Reel Inn has reportedly burned in the blaze.
“We are so grateful for the 36 years we’ve been a part of the community. Grateful to all of our customers. We are heartbroken and unsure what will be left,” owners Teddy and Andy Leonard said.
