Democracy wins! Californians have rejected Prop 43 and the power grab behind it. After three attempts, voters made it clear: decisions about our communities belong to the people who live in them. Thank you to everyone who helped make this victory possible! #NoOn43CA

I think the Bay has made it clear that they don't care what Stephen A thinks, lol.
Stephen A. Smith makes it clear he cannot dismiss Steph Curry and the Warriors as NBA title contenders 🙌

Since 2002, the 2025 Special Election (Prop 50) is the only statewide general or special election in CA where Republicans turned out a lower share of their registered voters than Democrats. If the 2026 General holds, it will be the second.

Bad policy, bad character make bad politics: erratic tariffs, impulsive Iran war, blanket pardons, apparent corruption, weaponized justice, ICE brutality, mountainous deficits, hiding Epstein, abandoning allies and coddling enemies. Hoping for a course correction, for the country and for my party.

Posting a longer cut of Ron DeSantis dropping some truth bombs about the state of the Republican Party after last night's blue tsunami. Hard to argue with any of this to be honest.

I spoke with Richard Pan and congratulated him on being elected to represent the 6th District.
I'm proud of our campaign and grateful for the amazing support of so many people. Thank you for believing California is worth fighting for.

I don’t know where this idea came from. But anyone who understands CA politics knows that in a Dem on Dem race the independents and Republicans can be the deciding factor… none of these Dems are trying to increase Republican turnout, but encouraging them to vote for you instead of your opponent has been a part of the process since 2012 implementation of the Top Two. (A top two system that the CA Dem congressional delegation opposed)
The progressive challengers appeal to the Republicans saying “my opponent is an incumbent who is an entrenched part of the Democratic establishment” and the more establishment incumbents will say “I may be liberal and a Democrat, but I’m more experienced and trustworthy than my upstart opponent.” Both are trying to peel off some of these votes.
And it’s true on the Rep v. Rep side too… @KenCalvert and @YoungKimCA who got shoved into a single Southern California Republican seat under Prop 50 (you’re welcome!) they both are telling Democrats that the other is worse than them, in hopes of getting their votes - but nobody on the Right is accusing them of trying to increase Dem turnout.
I’m not here to pick a fight with @hasanthehun but someone has to pushback on this unhealthy and irresponsible narrative that any of the Democrats are trying to help Republican turnout. Many of these Democrats are the very same members who voted to go forward with Prop 50 which carved up their old seats, with the direct purpose of pushing back on Republican gerrymandering in Texas. They lost parts of their districts they had represented for years, and that sacrifice means that they shouldn’t be accused of now a year later supposedly working to help Republican turnout.
Out walking my own neighborhood in the pouring rain in a freshly gerrymandered district to kick Kevin Kiley out of Congress - my heart is full. #WhoDrewTheMaps
Happy E-Day, team. It feels more like the end of OT in a Thursday night game in Cleveland than it does the Super Bowl.
I try hard not to follow recency bias, but this has been one crazy ass midterm. Consider, in no particular order: (P.S. I didn’t start the fire, it was always burning)
REDISTRICTING WARS: Referendums pass in CA and VA, courts rescind VA, scramble primaries; Still not clear is MO Cong. Winners can be seated
ME SEN: Graham Platner drops out; speed firehouse/convention primary held for replacement (don’t forget Janet Mills dropping but not dropping?)
WI GOV: David Crowley drops out to stop socialist candidate then gets back in and pulls stunning primary upset over F. Hong.
AK SEN: The two Dan Sullivans
CA GOV: Rotating frontrunners leads to multiple dropouts, Swawell may need a criminal defense atty; somehow Becerra is GOV-in-Waiting
TX SEN: Trump lets Ken Paxton happen
NC SEN: Trump chases out Tillis
FL SEN: DSA candidate upsets estab pick spending no conventional TV money
SC SEN: Lindsey Graham dies; special primary/runoff is held coronating his sister
NYC Cong. Races: Mamdani-led DSA sweeps
KS SEN: Senator goes rogue on his campaign, makes his own disastrous response TV ad
MI SEN: Where to begin: fake poll drives one candidate to drop; Dem primary is a nailbiter; losing candidate endorses other party’s nominee with 72 hours to go.
MI O8: Trump endorsed candidate (Amir Hassan) loses primary to candidate who dropped out (Tom Smith).
TRUMP: Becomes even odder on the trail, from “powerful bottoms” to dismissing voter concerns. 80yo behaves like a less than healthy 80yo

Members: CPF stands with the State Building Trades against Prop 45 because it weakens the public review process that helps identify hazards — endangering firefighters and the communities we serve. For more ballot recommendations: cpfelectionguide.org.

Who really benefits from Prop 45? Corporate developers, not California communities.
In @ucsdguardian, a UC San Diego student warns that Prop 45 would shift power away from communities and into the hands of corporations. California deserves better. Vote NO on 45. #NoOn45CA #Prop45
