Since Josh Heupel took over in 2021, Tennessee has had one of the highest penalty rates in the SEC even after adjusting for tempo.
Rough estimate:
• ~180 expected points lost to penalties
• ~3 points per game
• Potentially 4-6 wins left on the table

College football officiating is overdue for a full reset.
→ Officials employed by an independent body (not the conferences)
→ Crews randomly assigned with full rotation
→ All camera angles + official audio made public
→ Any penalty challengeable — failed challenge costs a timeout

It is AN INDICTMENT on Hazlze. Never heard him do this. He's got clout and he's got connections.
The WR who ran downfield on the beautiful TD pass to Mike and was called back ... had NEVER PLAYED A DOWN IN SEC PLAY!
He was put in over Braylon. Why???? I've been frustrated with Bray but the bigger ? to me is this total BS having mental effects on some of our starters????? Bray doesn't make that mistake. And that was a TD that would have been a dagger!!!
Also, he's really calling out ST coach.
Oh and Matthews makes it clear he doesn't blame the true freshman kid. The moment is too big for him. Put your BEST and most experienced players in there!

Would have been cool to see George get experience under his belt playing the 3 teams without a pulse that Faizon started the season against. GMAC is twice the QB Faizon is right now, and I don’t dislike Faizon. Just telling you the facts.
Vol fan here. It is clearly a forward pass. Yes, in real time it was worth checking, but as soon as they showed the replay it was obviously a forward pass.
