Really good news from the UK 🇬🇧 CONGRATS to our friends @WombsNotForRent @SurrogConcern for the great work done !! A pro-surrogacy petition gathered more than 113,000 signatures, demanding that intended parents be recognised as the legal parents of a child from birth. That forced a debate in Parliament. And instead of the easy victory the surrogacy lobby might have expected… there was real pushback. MP after MP stood up to defend the rights of women and children, the legal status of the mother who gives birth, and the safeguards the petition wanted removed. One Labour MP even openly called for a total ban on surrogacy! And the Government? No new surrogacy bill. No immediate liberalisation. This is not abolition, not yet, but this is important. Because once again we are being shown that the expansion of surrogacy is NOT inevitable. There is resistance and it is growing. 🇬🇧🔥

Around 90 surrogacy cases in Mexico were left in limbo. A woman carrying twins stopped receiving payments at 4 months pregnant. All this because of this surrogacy agency... But World Center of Babies’s sales pitch is still online: 🇲🇽 Mexican surrogate: $10–15k 🇺🇸 US surrogate: $50–75k Mexican are women marketed at 20% of the US price. This is vile. Abolish surrogacy.
