The final goal of AI companies is to end personal computing which in simple terms means to remove all access to digital devices from genral public. You can already see how prices of laptops, phones and PCs are being artificially inflated so no one can afford them anymore. This is the largest endeavour to move digital assets from people to the technocrats. They recognise the monetary value which internet affords to common people and want to take it away. After they've taken away all your phones & PCs they will sell you a rectangle box which would run on a cloud and would require a constant subscription, this is their long game.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM is wasteful, and that it belongs in data centers instead. "From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."

I'm so glad that we have LLMs to make computers more expensive for the first time since they were invented while also taking my job and making everyone illiterate

My entire adult life has been defined by the fallout of the financial crash and the nearly 20 years of austerity that followed, and you're telling me THOSE were the salad days???

This is a problem.
According to the latest forecasts from the OBR, income growth in the 2020s will be the worst for any decade on record – ending just 1.4 per higher in 2030 than in 2020.

Is the end of the small-time English landlord nigh? Quite possibly, and it might be a good thing...not just for renters but for our economy. My @theipaper column on the tax changes for landlords announced in yesterday's Budget (plus a reminder that it all actually started under George Osborne) inews.co.uk/opinion/slow-dea…

I'm pretty sure some of my harassers are stalking me via socials, so let me say this: if it does not cease immediately, I will report it. I don't think your group/ family wants the extra legal attention for being connected to a persistent harassment campaign, incl by proxy

These forecasts are hilarious. Another half year of misery, and then household disposable income just takes off like a rocket for... reasons?
Mindblowing chart from OBR. In 2029 real household disposable income per person expected to be just 1% higher than in 2019. What an unbelievably awful decade. It used to grow by 2%+ every year, not 1% in 10 years.

Right, I have had enough of it now. The entire drug ecosystem is f*ckheads, from top to bottom - users, dealers, top suppliers, all trash garbage - burn it all down! The reason is: your relentless targetting and harassment of ordinary citizens going about their lives.

You are ALL untenable harassers, stalkers and abusers. You are f*cking bad people to the core.

If you put one fraction as much energy into improving your condition as you do into harassing and abusing others, hell, even if you simply stopped your mission to make everyone despise you, you'd be doing much better

Yeah, but basically too late now - they've switched us all over, whether we wanted to or not
People (including me) have been saying this - it is not a good idea to remove landlines especially without a solid power network and particularly for people in rural areas. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c6x2…

It's messed up that they screen for autism and won't let people with a diagnosis fly, but this guy gets a total pass

Just one of the ways we filter for "mental health" that basically involves screening out more vulnerable people but leaving predatory types alone as 'the norm'

Corporate greed is Microsoft making $134 billion in profits last year, receiving $19 billion in tax breaks under Trump, paying a lower federal income tax rate than a nurse and getting rid of 60,000 workers. “Corporations will create jobs if they get tax breaks” is a total scam.
