The saint goes marching out!
Turns out the Russians may have just lost the bones of their "St. Dmitry of the Don" while running away from the Ukrainian army. The bones were sent to the front last week to apparently "boost morale and inspire the average Russian soldier."

The mural says “МИР І ЩАСТЯ В КОЖНИЙ ДІМ!”. Freely translated: peace and happiness to every home. Breaks my heart.

Let’s close this fundraiser today! We need the last EUR 1900 for these volunteers to drive through Ukraine in a 9-seat minivan. These absolute legends restore houses of victims of russia’s bombardments. If you can spare buck, please help!
Did a small video with Brave To Rebuild, an organisation of volunteers that comes to aid and cleans up debris and boards up windows of civilians after the Russian Attacks. They need a new van, every € helps (they have full transparency) Donate👇 goto.gg/76481

"Indifference is the epitome of evil." / „We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented" (Elie Wiesel, a Romanian-born Jewish writer, Auschwitz survivor, Peace Nobel Prize laureate who passed away on 2 July 2016) --- Never shall I forget that night, the first night in camp, that turned my life into one long night seven times sealed. Never shall I forget that smoke. Never shall I forget the small faces of the children whose bodies I saw transformed into smoke under a silent sky. Never shall I forget those flames that consumed my faith for ever. Never shall I forget the nocturnal silence that deprived me for all eternity of the desire to live. Never shall I forget those moments that murdered my God and my soul and turned my dreams to ashes. Never shall I forget those things, even were I condemned to live as long as God Himself. Never.

В Ярославле к 2030 году планируют построить аэропорт «Столица Золотого Кольца» 🔥 Проект реализуют за счет частных средств. Власти рассчитывают, что модернизация аэропорта повысит заинтересованность в Ярославской области.

Apparantly, Ukraine, solving most of the world’s problems, has developed a pedo-homing drone. Well done Ukraine, we can’t thank you enough.
🚨 Scott Ritter attacked by Starlink-guided Ukrainian drones 💬 "I was being attacked by drones that are guided by Starlink, an American company, and manufactured with the assistance of Eric Schmidt of Google. The Hornet drone, one of the top killers right now in Zaporozhye," the former US intelligence officer told Sputnik. While the British brag about sending hundreds of thousands of drones to Ukraine, and the West pours billions into flashy military tech to strike Russia, the Ukrainians are still losing, he argued. 💬 "They aren't breaking the spirit of the Russian population. I've never seen a more resilient, determined people in my life," Ritter concluded.

The current Ukrainian superiority in mid-range drone warfare is a brilliant advantage that comes with an expiration date. Failing to prepare for the day Russia matches this capability guarantees a catastrophic collapse of front line logistics for Ukraine. Ukraine is rightfully capitalizing on its drone edge to annihilate Russian transport networks in occupied zones. This structural disruption is hurting Russian logistics across the board. The problem is that the Kremlin is pouring massive resources into catching up, meaning this window of superiority will eventually close. When Russia deploys AI-enhanced mid-range strike drones at scale, any logistical movement within 100 kilometers of the front line faces destruction (on both sides). To survive, Ukraine must prepare immediately by layering multiple defensive measures. Securing future supply lines means installing more road nets, creating more specialized anti-drone drone units, adding cages to transport vehicles, shifting to logistical UGVs, and even building tunnels (when possible). This situation is a harsh wake-up call for Europe as well. Western doctrine relies heavily on the assumption that logistics remain somewhat safe beyond conventional artillery range. This is a dangerous misconception that modern drone warfare is permanently erasing, and European nations must watch and learn before it is too late

Zo ziet russische terreur eruit!

The truth about the Uyghur and Piker bans today is the Left and Right need to choose a consistent position on the freedom to voice racial hatred or support for terror. Either you want to be American, where there is one rule for rate hating neo-Nazis, Islamist preachers and Podcaster Leftists who call Jews “inbred” and say they support Hamas — they have a right to free speech and to visit. That is a principled view and you can manage those politics. Or you want to be European — where free speech is a qualified right, limited by stirring up racial hatred, support for terror groups and so on. And that again is a principled view and you can manage those politics. But you have to be consistent in your view. You want American-style rules? Sure but that means the Right has to be willing to accept the Islamist hate preacher in order to have the Remigration activist flying in and the Left the neo-Nazi provocateur on stage in order to have the pro-Hamas Podcaster at the festival. And the truth is I don’t think most on either side genuinely do want to be principled on this.

This was the Yakovlev family. Now, only the mother remains. In 2023, Russia took her husband—Yevgeny Yakovlev, call sign “Ryzhyi.” He was a cook, but after the full-scale invasion, he volunteered to defend his children and his country. He was killed in the Luhansk region while carrying out a combat mission. Their mother was left with two daughters. Lyubava, 12, attended Kyiv Lyceum No. 323. Vira, 17, attended the College of Arts and Design. On May 14, 2026, a rocket struck a high-rise building in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv. Lyubava and Vira lived in that building. Russia killed them too. First—their father. Then—their daughters. May Lyubava, Vira, and Yevgeny rest in peace. May their mother find the strength to endure what no one should ever have to endure. 💔🇺🇦

Today, we commemorate the victory over Nazism and the end of the Second World War. Together with the Mayor of Leusden, Gerolf Bouwmeester, the Deputy Mayor of Mariupol, Olha Pikula, Honorary Consul @KBurgerDirven, and my Embassy colleagues, we visited the Memorial Cemetery in Leusden to honour the victims of Nazism, including Ukrainian soldiers and civilians, who lost their lives during World War II. The war touched every Ukrainian family. Ukraine lost around 8 million people – 5 million civilians and 3 million soldiers. Today, Ukrainians are once again defending Europe against brutal aggression, resisting Russia’s genocidal war – the largest war on European soil since the WWІІ.

I took this photo 12 years ago, May 4, 2014. This was the very city center of Bakhmut. I lived just around the corner. The war was just getting started with the Russian capture of cities across Donetsk oblast and about to explode after the airport battle later that month. But before it did, Bakhmut (then still called by its Soviet name of Artemivsk) was a quiet, peaceful town. When people hear its name spoken today it evokes destruction and the bloodiest battle of Russia’s full-scale invasion. Let this photo be a reminder that before Vladimir Putin launched the biggest war in Europe since 1945, that this city was home to around 90,000 who did not want it and were even Russian speakers. Nothing seen in this photo is still standing today because of the Kremlin’s invasion. The city is a hellscape.
