DBS should've just done what Demin Slayer did with Infinity train and cut up the existing movie footage of BOG and ROF into anime episodes and adding whatever new elements were needed
This wouldve also bought them more production time for new material like U6
It's hilarious that Toei just happened to be doing a DBS Remaster right after Daima, thus having a golden opportunity to resolve all the issues that make connecting the two series impossible by adding some simple connective tissue, and just completely chose not to
While it's not necessary, them adding some connective tissue by referencing Daima wouldve made this 4th BOG story much more interesting even if I dont personally love Daima's story
I think one of the biggest tragedies of modern Dragon Ball is the absolute mess of its continuity and the confusion it causes and retcons/inconsistencies it allows
The manga is the only true canon (which is fine but also a shame as I think consistency and continuity is important to a cohesive story)
Theres zero evidence of kid buu being the strongest. All that evidence is anime filler and guidebooks that are irrelevant when faced with manga, the truest source material, which makes it abundantly clear Buuhan (and potentially even base Super buu) are stronger
Is this the best modern dragon ball opening?

Holy cook
none of them suck, but they are all mid in their own way.
GT doesn't really have any particularly good fights, and the pacing is pretty awful. It handles the characters pretty well though. I find it the least offensive of the 3.
Super mischaracterizes and flanderizes the cast. It has the best stories and plot of the 3, and probably hits the highest highs of the 3. Some pretty abysmal lows as well though. The issues with the characters bother me a lot when I watch it, but it also had the most things that managed to impress me.
Daima's got some really kick ass fights, but's that's pretty much it. It is pretty much devoid of an actual story. Characters feel fine.

You know fandoms have insecurities when they develop strange obsessions with stuff like views all the time
DB and op are both bad about this
Daima and GT are both ultra mid at best

I just hate how they hate on daima and gt so badly while being so hipocrit bout the critics to those series
Like bro, look at the one you defending too
I feel like it should be easily accepted that DBS is a very flawed product while also having some very great moments. Its inferior to the OG manga by many objective measures, and it should be okay to acknowledge its flaws along with its highs.
But there's this weird niche of DBS purists fans that blantly ignore its issues, blindly hype it, and say youre not a DB fan if you dont rate DBS a 9/10
Vegeta literally had character regression in DBS and his Z writing was 10x. Better overall
While good moments in the Moro arc, He was still stupidly stubborn against about fusing with Goku ( something gt handled better) and even refused to give to the spirit bomb in the TOP

Goku point is debatable but Vegeta literally got way better in super , he stopped chasing Goku by finding his own path & continued his rivalry with with great character development
