When I’m doing a hypertrophy program I usually don’t deload, I adjust volume and intensity to allow for continuous training. Now I’m doing a powerlifting program it’s every 5 weeks because the program is tailored to my volume and intensity requirements and what I can recover from. And it’s usually 60ish% of my current absolute intensities, I don’t take the whole time off to retain the skill adaptations of the specific movements while managing fatigue.

Question how long do you usually workout for before a deload? A preset time? Or just based on your level of fatigue. Also what’s your deload usually like? <70% of usual weight? Or is there a range of percentage you drop weights and reps to? Or Whole week off entirely?
