Here’s the entire Weslaco comeback in the 6A #UILState Championship in its entirety. 8 runs capped off by a walk off grand slam by Andrea Ortiz. The entire lineup came up to the plate. No one more, no one less.
On the bright side with this whole Josh Simmons thing, Kahlil Benson is one of the best Chiefs scouting stories in quite some time and they cannot be commended enough for their eye of his talent and drive along with Andy Reid and Andy Heck’s hand(s) in his development.
Based on the way Rick Burkholder thoroughly explained this Josh Simmons process, I’m still trying to figure out why the Chiefs weren’t more forthright explaining what was happening. Seems like they were kicking the can down the road hoping and NOW decided to just let him rehab.
Thank you for the great excuse of allowing me to post the Pink Floyd lineup of David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason playing Comfortably Numb together for the final time.
The last song they all did together.

Not being allowed to experience more original members performing Comfortably Numb is a far greater loss than their MNF play-by-play. I get it though.
I’ve never seen more of a self own in my life with the community note attached
"Kansas City, and playing in Arrowhead is an absolute sh*t show. It is the most rigged venue in sports." - @BreidenFehoko doubles down on NFL refs favoring the Chiefs.
We’re reaching David Gilmour/Roger Waters territory with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. And I never thought in my wildest imagination that it would come to this.
Details emerge of Troy Aikman and Joe Buck blowup, deteriorating relationship awfulannouncing.com/espn/det…

glad we got the guy who punctured Tyrod Taylor’s lung chiming in on ESPN

One of the weirdest Josh Simmons developments yet, especially considering that Chiefs beat reporters said they saw him in the locker room.
Maybe I’m wrong but it seems like a subtle message.
I’m just tired.
Here is Terry Robiskie spamming Larry Centers in the Redskins week 17 game against the Cardinals in 2000 where Centers caught 8 passes and Dan Snyder had to cough up $300k against his own wishes
Terry Robiskie says as an NFL head coach he once received a message from his team's owner telling him not to let a player on his team earn his $300,000 contract bonus for total receptions, and says instead of listening to the owner he deliberately called plays to help that player reach the incentive
“Larry Centers was our fullback, and your daddy would always feature him. Your daddy made sure Larry Centers caught six, seven balls a game. He was the best at getting balls in the right hands of the right people.”
“I'll never forget it. We were playing Arizona, which was Larry's old team. Larry came to my office, sat down at my desk, and said, ‘Coach, you know, I didn't make that much money this year on my salary. But I need six catches in this game.’”
“And Norv would always get him seven, nine catches. He said, ‘I need six catches in this game. If I get those six catches, man, I got a $300,000 bonus.’ And I turned and looked at him. I said, ‘Three hundred? Are you crazy? I don't make but $140,000. I'm the head coach!’”
“He said, ‘Coach, man, I gotta get these six catches for this $300,000, man. I'll give you a thousand.’ I said, ‘Okay, good. Give me a thousand!’ But right then, that guy wanted to know, ‘Coach, do you really care about me?’ You know what I mean? And I know that I got a little note from the owner of that team saying, ‘Don't let that guy get them six catches.’”
“I threw him seven balls in the first quarter. I made sure he got them. I never got my thousand dollars from him. I gotta get my thousand! But I made sure he had his incentive. And I told the owner, ‘If you don't want him to make that incentive, don't put it in his contract, because I'm the wrong guy.’ I'm the wrong guy.”
Prime moving Travis Kelce is the best run after catch tight end you’ll ever watch. I swear every time you think he’s going down, he eats up at least 10 more yards. And he STILL has these moments today
If the Chiefs don’t go white on white for this game for a classic AFC West throwback, it’s a massive failure
Throwback threads for SNF.
