Every GOP strategist, consultant, and candidate should be forced to participate in a role-playing exercise this morning. Your name is Bob. You’re a 49-year-old blue-collar worker in Ohio. You’ve always struggled to make ends meet. The good jobs were all shipped to China and the few remaining pay a pittance wage, undercut by endless illegal labor. You’re a 3x Trump voter because you believed he would finally make America great again. You put your son through Ohio State. He graduated cum laude in computer science. You couldn’t have been prouder. After months searching, he landed an entry-level job at Microsoft. Beneath his qualifications, but a good start for a smart kid. Then he got laid off. That same month, Microsoft applied for 150,000 more H-1B visas because it can’t find qualified Americans. Your son has spent six months back in his childhood bedroom, sending hundreds of applications without landing an interview. On TV, Trump boasts about the greatest economy in history and how many women and minorities are finding jobs. You decide a father-son steak night might cheer him up. Gas is $4.50 a gallon. Filling your truck costs over $100. At Kroger, ribeyes are $30/lb. You settle for hamburger, even though 70/30 ground beef still costs $10+. At checkout, a fat black woman is screaming at the cashier because her EBT will only cover most of the filet mignon and lobster in her cart. You think to yourself how the Iran war has made everything expensive, but at least we’re stopping their nuclear bomb. You weren’t even sure where Iran was before you googled it after we first bombed them in March. After dinner, you take your son to the county fair. Half the people aren’t speaking English. Virtually none of the crowd looks like you. You’re forced to leave early after a “teen takeover” turns violent. A foreign born judge pledges none of them will go to jail. Back home, you turn on the TV. Vivek Ramaswamy is lecturing the crowd about American mediocrity and why Ohio needs more foreign talent. Your son grows upset. You change the channel. Now a Republican surrogate, the daughter of a governor or wife of an elderly billionaire, explains that young White men are the REAL welfare queens. They’d rather play videogames in their parents’ basements than work. Your son says nothing. He just goes back to his childhood bedroom. You turn off the TV. Then your neighbor starts blasting reggaeton and cracking open Modelos. He brought his cousin’s family from Mexico to help with all the minority-business contracts his construction firm keeps winning. Tonight they’re celebrating his nephew’s birth, the family’s first birthright American citizen. You sit alone in your living room. You worked hard, paid taxes, obeyed the law, and raised your son to do everything right. You voted Republican again and again because you believed somebody in Washington would finally fight for you. Instead, your wages are stagnant. Groceries are unaffordable. Your community is unrecognizable. Your country is fighting another foreign war. And upstairs, the son you sacrificed everything for is lying awake in the bedroom he slept in at twelve, wondering what the heck he’s even supposed to do with his life now. Every time you turn on the TV, the Republicans you elected are either congratulating themselves or explaining why you and your son are the problem. For ten years, they told you America’s future depended on your vote. Now you aren’t even sure America has a future worth defending. The Republican Party needs to answer one simple question this morning: You’ve spent a decade demanding Bob’s loyalty. You’ve given him stagnant wages, unaffordable groceries, another foreign war, and a son who did everything right but can’t find work. And when they complain, you call them lazy, entitled, and racist. What possible reason have you given Bob and his son to vote Republican? Do you honestly think you deserve their vote?

Your country just banned BBW facesitting, you have no point whatsoever.
Ok lads: imagine you aren’t horny at all. Not even slightly. You’re busy fixing a shelf or ironing your suit or watching your favourite TV show. Zero sexy feelings. Your girlfriend sighs loudly and goes “can we have sex now” in whingy voice and then grabs your ass. She then sulks and starts whining when you aren’t instantly aroused and into it and starts saying you haven’t had sex for 3 days. Annoying? Not very sexy? GOOD YOU UNDERSTAND WHY PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE INSTA-HORNY BEHAVIOUR IS ANNOYING

An illegal Guatemalan was deported back to Guatemala just 73 days ago The illegal has already managed to reenter America illegally, has been found in Alabama and is now being held in the DeKalb County detention center “According to federal records, she was picked up in Crossville by the police there Just 2 days ago. That document also states that Hernandez Diaz did in fact re-enter the country without permission and is now facing a federal charge of illegal re-entry after deportation” She has been in America illegally for a DECADE. In 2016 she entered the US illegally and then in 2017 she failed to appear for an immigration court date and then stayed under the radar. Trump then deported her and she’s already back… So sick of this

There's something funny about juxtaposing the trans flag onto what's shaped like a penis.

So you admit that your entire argument is just mentioning Chernobyl.
nuclear energy fans are genuinely so annoying they watched some white guy youtuber talk about it one time and now they’ve decided it’s perfect, has no downsides whatsoever, can’t be criticized and will passionately defend it with everything they got

the dynamic of lib/left political discourse seems rly simple to encapsulate: - the leftist takes a "morally virtuous" but non-pragmatic position - liberal says it's a dumb bc it won't happen and there's a better approach to reduce harm - leftist takes this dispute as the liberal being morally opposed to the initial position - conversation is reframed as the liberal person is anti-'good thing' like that's literally the entire discourse now, and once you see it you can't unsee it

There’ve been a lot of positive takeaways from the Malfoid trend, but between Redten, the OG artist immediately telling yuripigs off, and Yunayu deleting her Blusky while rejecting leftist harassment, it feels like a broader culture shift. Everyone is sick of this crowd.

#HarryPotter #RemillaLupin #Malfoid The idea is clear in my head but I do not have the experience or dexterity to bring it to reality as cleanly as I want. Professor Remilla Lupin feeding a student a chocolate frog.

I think this is where a lot of speculative fiction completely loses me You start with genuinely fascinating ideas like the incomprehensible scale of the universe, the absurdity of existence, infinite possibility, systems too vast for any one person to understand. Ive been looking into Borges, Kafka, House of Leaves, the Library of Babel, great. I love all of that But then these postmodern writers think they're being really fucking clever and arrive at the gayest possible conclusion; “And therefore humanity should give up.” "Oh bing bong bing bong space is too big. Exploration is hubris. Progress is naive. Building things is pointless. The universe doesn't care about us, therefore apparently neither should we. Oh no an empty endless corridor without context its so liminal I'M LOSING MY HECKING MIND! SAVE ME SCIENCE!" What an unbelievably miserable failure of imagination. Human beings confront the infinite, absurd, incomprehensible and meaningless every single day. Just comprehend it bro. Go outside and look at the night sky. More stars that we will ever explore in our collective lifetimes. We do not immediately curl into a ball because reality failed to provide us with a fucking quest marker and yellow paint The Library of Babel isn't horrifying because somewhere among its infinite books you might never stumble across the one volume that explains your life You're not supposed to find that book you dumb fuck you're supposed to write it Meaning is what finite beings create from infinite possibility. That's the entire trick. Thats why we are here The universe does not owe you a prewritten purpose any more than the Library of Babel owes you a convenient shelf containing “THE OBJECTIVE MEANING OF YOUR EXISTENCE, VOL. I.” What an unsatisfying climax If your response to infinite possibility is “but which one am I supposed to choose?” then you don't have an intellectual existential crisis, you have open-worldslop consoomer gamer brain You're standing in reality waiting for the wolverine stink trail to tell you where to go Life has no quest marker. Pick a direction. Build something. Name something. Love someone. Cross an ocean. Go to space. Sit outside and eat a banana. Take a tiny piece of the chaos of creation and say "this has meaning to me" The fact that the universe is indifferent to what we do isn't an argument against doing anything. It is the reason what we choose to do belongs to us in the first place I love fiction about people confronting things beyond their comprehension, but I become considerably less impressed when the profound revelation at the end is basically; “Oh my reddit! Everything is really big and complicated. We should probably stop trying. I am 14 and this is deep.” Fuck off
There’s a trend I find increasingly frustrating in speculative biology artists like C. M. Kosemen and Alex Ries: they’ve been spreading deeply misanthropic, anti-technology worldview, and then presenting that worldview with the facade of science in recent years The Fermi paradox is an unanswered question. We have one example of technological civilization: ourselves. We have no idea how common intelligent life is, how often civilizations become technological, how long they survive, or whether extraterrestrial civilizations would even be detectable using the methods we’re currently looking for Yet somehow they want you to believe that technology is rare because technological civilization is basically a prelude to extinction Instead of saying “we don’t know,” complicated subjects get reduced to misanthropic narratives about humans being uniquely destructive, civilization being an evolutionary mistake, and technological progress inevitably ending in disaster If you constantly portray humanity as a destructive cancer, technology as a disease, industrial civilization as something we should distrust, and technological progress as something that inevitably ends badly, you’re promoting a particular worldview about what humans SHOULD do That’s politics at the level of philosophy, whether or not you attach a political party to it There’s nothing wrong with discussing ecological destruction, existential risk, or the possibility that civilizations can collapse But anti-human pessimism isn’t inherently more intelligent than optimism We as artists should be expanding people’s imagination with our works, not repeatedly telling them that humanity is uniquely stupid for wanting to build things

India has never faced international sanctions for their massive pollution issues. The Ganges River basin generates roughly 315 tons of plastic waste EVERY single day. An estimated 600,000 tons (0.6 million tons) of plastic waste enter the Ganges river system annually. Ocean Discharge: Between 115,000 & 120,000 tons of plastic are carried by the Ganges into the ocean each year, which affects everyone & endangers ocean marine life. 3.3 million tons (3 billion liters) of raw, untreated sewage are dumped into the main stem of the Ganges River every single day. They are destroying the planet with their lack of civic sense & no regard for the environment. Give me one good reason why the international community should not be enraged about this?! They should be heavily sanctioned & barred from immigrating to other nations until they can prove they are capable of being anything other than an open air landfill.

Helldivers 2 main loader is Arsenal. NexusMods staff have joined the Helldivers 2 modding community on a Discord server that is discussing flagging non-NexusMods and making Arsenal reject anything that doesn’t include a NexusMods link. They want other sites to be blocked. They don’t even play the game. This isn't safe. That is a monopoly on the loader.
