Anybody find it suspicious that the only Grand Slam tennis tournament to get caught rigging a draw is the only one that now conducts its draws entirely behind closed doors?

The Wawrinka snub needs to be the last nail in the coffin of allowing Grand Slam wild cards to be allocated by organizations whose sole purpose is helping players from a certain country. Take it out of their hands and turn it over to an independent entity.

Kristina Liutova just won a tour level event at age 16 and will receive zero wild cards going forward. Venus Williams just took her thirteenth consecutive loss at age 116 and will keep getting wild cards until the sun dies.

Real, active, current professional tennis players Camila Osorio and Solana Sierra having to wait four days to have their first round doubles match scheduled while a retired player held Wimbledon hostage is total insanity. Jamie Baker should lose his job over this.

If Chwalinska doesn’t get her Wimbledon wild card, the tournament should be stripped of ranking points again. I’m serious. A player who’s entitled to a seed being left out of the draw altogether on a technicality would be unprecedented nonsense.

Even against Paul Skenes!
The most immutable of nature's laws: girls with boy names are always attractive and the Mets always win their opener. #LGM

A new Larry Fessenden film is always cause for celebration and observation in this house. Watching the new and always badass @glasseyepix werewolf feature Blackout (2024) with Gentry, my favorite person near or far 🖤 just out in limited theaters and on VOD! 🐺 🌕

I opted out of letting my TV track what I watch for the purpose of giving better recommendations, but I'll be damned if it doesn't occasionally get one right anyway

Larry Fessenden’s BLACKOUT is a work of fascinatingly conflicted, far-reaching curiosity. The film opens this Wednesday @IFCCenter. Read @midfalutin's review. slantmagazine.com/film/black…

This is one of my all-time favorite love songs. Sinead didn't write it, but she did lend her angelic voice to it. youtu.be/_q7307IWwr4

I feel bad for anyone just now becoming aware of @SamTheWeinstein, whom I had the great fortune to “know” (via social media) for roughly a third of her tragically short life. An absolutely delightful, spunky, generous spirit who handled her cancer battle with remarkable bravery.

Considering the horrendously disorienting circumstances, I think I contributed some nice writing to the middle section here. I didn't mention my parents often on Twitter, but they were the best and I feel lost without them. dufresneandcavanaugh.com/tri…

If Crime Dog McGriff had played in New York instead of Toronto/San Diego/etc. he would have made the #HOF in his first year of eligibility.

I never meant for "Chris tweets about music he hears in stores" to become a running theme, but Paula Abdul's duet with the cartoon cat playing at Lowe's feels incongruous enough to mention.

I've never seen Avatar (unless glancing at it over a stranger's shoulder on their laptop screen on a train counts).
We can't let Twitter die if Addison's back to working blue on here.
If it looks like cum, and it feels like cum, it’s a probably a good moisturizer.
