Throw your heart out in front of you and run ahead to catch it.

Seeing videos like this as a young kid and hearing the legend of the Backyarder from Newcastle that could do any trick and seeing him take that to 1PW, Dragon Gate & all over the world. I was chasing you from the backyard to AEW Thank you for laying down the structure for us brits to be able to walk on & dream to achieve the things you did.

What an awful loss. I ran into Ben at a restaurant near Nashville Airport a few weeks ago. I am so grateful that happened now. It was so good to see him. We were reminiscing about the first time we connected on MSN messenger(!) over 20 years ago, and what a ride it had been since then. He wished me luck for my match at Summerslam, and I told him he was still the best. We both had silly grins on our face from being genuinely surprised and happy to have bumped into each other. That will be how I remember him; just the nicest, most humble man despite being objectively the most talented in ring performer of our generation, perhaps ever. I spent last night talking to people who knew Ben and loved him. There are many. My prayers and condolences to his family and loved ones. He was the best of us. God Speed PAC. 🖤

Tim Robbins says the greatest movie ever made only survived because one billionaire sold it to himself "That's the crazy thing about Shawshank is that it wasn't a big hit in the movie theater initially." "No... it was nominated for seven Academy Awards, but nobody went to see it." "Ted Turner was running Warner Brothers at the time, right? And Warner Brothers produced Shawshank Redemption... when he sold the rights to it for television, he sold it to himself at the lowest cost possible." "So basically you had a film nominated for seven Academy Awards that was getting sold like it was beach blanket bullshtt, right?" "So it didn't cost him anything to put it on his channel... he put it on again and again... and I think that's why it caught on because it was ubiquitous. It was always there." "And so that's a good example of where someone's business acumen or greed or whatever you want to call it, winds up producing something quite lovely."

We celebrate 100 years of a true pioneer, a champion, and a visionary - Verne Gagne. Born a century ago, Verne Gagne wasn’t just a pro wrestler — he was the foundation upon which generations were built. As a world-class amateur wrestler and later a multiple-time world champion.
