I am an Iranian woman who grew up under the Islamic Republic, where even the most basic freedoms came at a price. I have fought battles many Western feminists cannot begin to imagine. My understanding of women's rights was forged through resistance, sacrifice, and survival, not slogans.
And yet, I have reached a point where I can no longer defend the direction Western feminism is taking.
Watching women use freedoms that others have died fighting for to champion ideas I believe threaten those very freedoms is infuriating.
Rights without responsibility, freedom without judgment, and activism without an understanding of consequences can become instruments of destruction.
I fought against oppression in Iran. I refuse to applaud what I see as the erosion of Western society simply because it is being promoted in the name of women's empowerment.

An Iranian man who lived through the 1979 Revolution just dropped a raw warning after America elected its first Muslim US Senator (Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan) and NYC’s Muslim democratic-socialist mayor (Zohran Mamdani).
“Why on earth do you think some of these people you’ve elected will make your life better?”
