One day you’re gonna wake up and AAU basketball will be over. No more weekend tournaments, packed gyms, or team hotels. No more “one more game” next weekend.
One day you’ll be out of eligibility for high school basketball. Then college basketball too.
And eventually, the thing that feels like your whole world right now becomes a memory.
So stop playing scared. Shoot your shot. Sprint the floor. Dive on the loose ball. Compete with confidence. Enjoy your teammates. Because one day you’ll wish you could go back and play just one more game with them.
Fear and hesitation have ended way more careers than missed shots ever will.
Just something to think about.

Colin Janvrin of XL Thunder showcased the ability to score from all three levels with drives to the hoop, 3 pointers and mid range shots, as-well as creating offense for teams as well on his drives #ZGCollegeSeries

XL Thunder’s Luke Gendron was vocal throughout the game and heated up late to put it out of reach, finishing with 3 threes!

HS Coaches often complain about breaking “AAU” habits. Lots of time the opposite is true. AAU Coaches have 2 break “HS” habits. Lack of urgency, playing soft due 2 refs calling everything in HS, casual habits that lead 2 turnovers. Not pass faking vs pressure, not playing off 2.

Winning is HARD. If your fortunate enough to be part of a winning program don’t take it for granted. Plenty of coaches on the other side planning, prepping, and losing sleep trying to flip it. Winning doesn’t have to define you but your impact on those around you will.

One of the best stories this basketball season has been authored by @CoachMorgan_13 and the @SanfordSpartans boys. Thursday, the Spartans stayed perfect, at the expense of @TATrojanSports

Very balanced attack this morning for Maine’s XL Thunder Varsity team.
Running an unselfish, five out offense while making the extra pass and knocking down open three’s. A few familiar faces in 2026’s Gabe Jackson & Reece MacDonald, as well as 2027 Sawyer Pow.

I’ve found alot of peace in my life understanding that we can only control our own actions and how we as individuals treat people.. We can’t force things or situations
I will always have faith that if things are meant to be it will be…
