LBDA MD @WycliffeOchiaga signed an MOU with @SafaricomFDN represented by their Chairman Mr. Joseph Ogutu, and in partnership with @USTADI_Fndtn under the Agri Wezesha III program to establish a center of excellence at the LBDA's Alupe ITTC to ignite the interest and engage 饾煋饾煄饾煄饾煄 youths in Busia County in capacity building, market linkages, innovation and sustainable climate smart agriculture. Initiatives that strengthen key value chains in agriculture, livestock and eco-tourism provide local communities in ASALs with practical solutions to adapt to climate change, while also contributing to the national agenda of economic development.
We are doubling up efforts aimed at promoting long-term environmental and socio-economic resilience in ASAL regions.
Launched the Loitokitok Integrated Conservation and Livelihood Program at Entarara, Kajiado County, where I distributed improved cattle breeds, bee hives, assorted beadwork materials and eco-tourism support supplies to community groups in Loitoktok.
This is a 10-year initiative being implemented by @ENSDAKE Ewaso Ngiro South Development Authority (ENDSA), @KVDA_ke Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA), @WRA_KEN Water Resource Authority (WRA), World Wide Fund for Nature-Kenya, County Government of Kajiado, Kajiado South NG-CDF and Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO).
