"Criminals will get guns anyway" is not an argument. It is an exit.
Apply it anywhere else: drunk drivers will drink anyway, so why DUI laws. Robbers will rob anyway, so why locks.
Every law is a probability play. The exception on guns is political.

A free press is not the enemy of the people. It is the only reason you ever find out what the powerful did while you slept.

Maybe trump was telling the world something when he posed for this freaky picture 40 years ago?

The Republican Party’s slogan for their election supporters, registered or not:
‘Vote early and often.’

🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️ THIS.
It’s not rocket science; they wouldn’t be trying this damn hard to suppress votes and disenfranchise people if it didn’t matter so much.

I'm curious how many of the people arguing strongly against social security payments to boomers being honored are going to the polls and voting for candidates who vow to cut the government, to actually reduce spending rather than just slow it's growth, to fight against the trend toward more socialism?
Or, is it just the older generation they hate, but not socialism itself?

This is a great question someone posed. Thoughts?
CAN SOMEONE WALK ME THROUGH HOW THIS MAKES SENSE
By the time I retire at 67, I'll have paid roughly $540,000 into Social Security between my contributions and my employer's match.
If that same money had just sat in an index fund averaging 7%, it would be worth about $2.4M. The dividends alone off that would be $168,000 a year.
Instead, the government is projecting I'll get $2,950 a month at 67. That's about $35,400 a year.
Someone explain the gap between those two numbers, because I genuinely don't understand where the rest of it goes.

Years ago, when I used to go into the Miami jails to do sanity and competency evaluations of prisoners, I learned to keep my feet moving at all times to make it harder for the roaches to run over my shoes and up under the legs of my pants.
Not a place for the faint of heart.

Imagine feeling bad for guys who raped that young lady for seven hours and sent out messages advertising “free pussy.” But what should we expect from a sexual deviant who is an adjudicated rapist who bragged about grabbing women by the pussy?!

Can anyone help me locate the “little Black bubble?”
I can’t find directions anywhere when I search for it in Waze or Google Maps.
Oh, the bigots are BIG mad, and I’m here for it.🤣
Say it with me, Judy: “1, 2, 3 … Cancun!”
Replying to @AbeFroman @river_dusty
Outside your little black bubble nobody cares or even knows who Ana Wilson is. She’s unlikable and unmarketable

Trump and Hegseth are pushing risky testosterone boosters on shoddy science. Who asked for that? I'm not buying masculinity from a memo.

I can think of numerous red states where these guys could soon be invited to run for Congress.
In fact, if they like beer, Trump might appoint them to the Supreme Court.

I worry that whatever trump does to hijack or cancel the midterm elections, no matter how illegal or unconstitutional it is, Roberts and his cabal of bought&paid for “conservative” justices will let trump do whatever he deems necessary to keep Republicans in control of Congress.
John Roberts ruled that presidents are above the law. We are 578 letters away from 33,000 demanding his impeachment. Help us get there: actionnetwork.org/letters/te…
