✨ International Women’s Day at the Guggenheim ✨
Today, we celebrate the incredible women artists who have shaped the Guggenheim’s past, present, and future. From our newest exhibition “Rigor and Beauty” by Beatriz Milhazes, to Jenny Holzer, who challenges power and language through text-based art.
We honor the bold visions of Hilma af Klint, a pioneer of spiritual abstraction; Louise Bourgeois, whose sculptures explore memory and identity; Gego, redefining space with intricate wire structures; Agnes Martin, Julie Mehretu, Adriana Varejão, and many others who continue to inspire and provoke thought in our galleries.
This #InternationalWomensDay, we recognize the trailblazers who have transformed modern and contemporary art—and those who will continue to shape its future. Join us in celebrating their legacy today and every day.

“One of the key aspects of my work is that it is attempting to make a physical representation of that which is immaterial. So I see it as a bridge between the two worlds.”

How do you make children enjoy writing? By using playful writing skills, you can make writing more playful and intuitive by building a 3D model of their story. In that way, they get the chance to act the story out. Sounds fun, right? #internationalliteracyday
