I've been in politics for a quarter century. It's hard to express how staggering it is to see a conversation like this on corporate US media. The Morning Joe panel gobsmacked by the directness of @AbdulElSayed's points.

Ruby Justice-Thelot reveals how fleeting fame has become:
Someone who gets famous in 2026 has just a 5.8% chance of remaining among Wikipedia's 1,000 most-viewed people two years later.
"In 2016, 11 to 12% of people would have remained in that list, meaning you got famous in 2016, you had 2 years where you could actually stick around."
"Something happened in 2017 where the stickiness culturally of a lot of these figures really decreased. It fell by half."
"It feels as though there’s been a timeline-shifting event almost every day since 2016."
"Here in 2026, if a person becomes famous, there's a 5.8% chance that they will still be in that top 1,000 in 20 to 24 months. Tough, tough, tough world."

I need people understand that understaffing isn't a bug of where you work, or your manager being a dick, but a feature of a system constantly trying to minimize its biggest cost (labor). Every place I've ever worked it's presented as a perpetually temporary problem. It isn't.

'Speed' derives from the Old English 'spēd,' which referred to good fortune/success.
This sense of 'speed' lives on in 'Godspeed':
"God spede you" = "God prosper you"
We hope this brings you up to speed.

I heard someone say “I don’t feel like myself lately, I must be growing” what a beautiful perspective for uncomfortable seasons.

What’s happening in France is a wake-up call to the entire world. 🌍 The cost of living keeps rising while everyday people struggle to survive. People are tired of working hard just to barely get by. Governments need to start listening to the people before frustration turns into chaos. 💯🙏🏽

7/ These findings show that representation of conscious and suppressed content alternates every ~ 60 ms. Thus conscious perception does not reside in a specific brain region, but rather a specific temporal phase.

This is your final warning to wear a warm jacket tonight! Temperatures will drop to near 40° F in the city (perhaps even a bit lower) and well into the 30s in the interior tonight. It will be cold on Sunday morning.
