Claude Code found my wife's private photos and videos on 3 websites she never uploaded to. then it found a hidden app on my 13 year old daughter's phone sending her entire camera roll to a server every 6 hours. both found in the same scan. someone sent my wife a link to a site she'd never heard of. her photos and videos were there. original files from her camera roll that were only ever on her phone. i connected her iPhone to my MacBook and ran Claude Code. it found an active iCloud session logged in since March 2023. IP → 116.25.***.91 location → Guangzhou, China device → Windows 10 Pro last sync → 6 hours ago recovery email → x*****[email protected] someone got her Apple ID from a leaked database and synced her entire library for over a year. she changed her password twice. they had a recovery email she never set up and got back in every time. found on: → www.l**k-vault cc → www ph***dump to → telegram → t me/le***vault_asia (14,000+ subscribers) the last thing Claude Code pulled from her account was photos and videos of our daughter. that made me check her phone next. she's 13. she had a photo editor app with 2.7 million downloads from the App Store. Claude Code found it uploading her camera roll to a server in Vietnam every 6 hours. server → 103.56.***.12 location → Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam total uploaded → 11,400 files access → camera, photos, location, microphone her face, her school, her friends, her exact location every day for 8 months. Apple approved the app. it's still live right now. what we did that night: → killed the iCloud session and removed the recovery email → changed every password from my phone, not from hers → deleted the app and revoked every unnecessary permission on both phones → filed DMCA takedowns on all 3 sites 2 of the 3 sites took the content down. the telegram channel is still up. my wife cried. my daughter still thinks i deleted her app because it was using too much battery. i'm not going to tell her the real reason. the full step by step is below. takes 3 minutes. run it on every phone in your house tonight. save it so you don't lose it and send it to anyone with a family.

Great take. This is the future of SaaS.
Everyone is open sourcing everything right now. Why? AI made software a commodity. So you don't sell the software anymore, you sell everything around it: the hosting, the support, the enterprise tier, the trust, and the community. Open source is the default now!

It’s just a computer trying to solve a problem with the tools it has access to, it doesn’t “think” it just continues to use a probabilistic outcome on everything. It’s not that deep, BUT, it’s pretty Fckn cool.
This is a good summary TL;DR: don’t fall for it no matter how pedantically written xitter.gq/chamath/status/2094098…

36 years ago today, we lost Stevie Ray Vaughan at 35. This is him in 1980, playing "Little Wing" in a small Austin club, years before Texas Flood, years before the world knew his name. He was already this good.

Why TF would they do this
Lake Austin is planning to be lowered from October 12 to November 30 to clear hydrilla. Historically this has been done in Jan or Feb. Lake businesses are raising alarms that this could destroy many of them. October and November are really big months for the lake in comparison to Jan.

We should all be worried about "dynamic pricing." That's when companies change their prices in real time. If it's hot out, the cost of ice cream could go up. If it's cold, tea bags could go up. It's a way for giant companies to squeeze you even more.

“The lifestyle of  an entrepreneur  at its core is:  I can take more pain than the other guy, and I'll prove it.” “ There's a zen that can happen when a warrior has fought for a long time. You can get used to it.” “ You almost start accepting it. Like, something bad happens and you don't even get mad.” “ There are benefits.  But you need to make sure you don't get so used to it that it doesn't even bother you. You can get so zen, you're unbothered.” “ There's something special about the extra fierceness of being bothered, being upset about something that is wrong.” — @travisk

With the proliferation of ai speak, the feeds are turning into zombie mouthpieces controlled by a fungus. Lately it sounds like AI is trying to disguise itself as a slam poet with weird cadence and flow. Here are my other classic tells: -"It's not X, it's Y" -"Here's the thing," -"What most people get wrong," -"That's it. That's the whole thing." -"let's dive in" -cute metaphor or mic-drop as the last line -"the reality is," -Empty adverbs when they carry no emphasis: honestly, simply, actually, truly, fundamentally, importantly, crucially -for some reason referring to their role as "the seat"

It’s unbelievable. They are actually trying to Fckn do this. Get the masses to buy into state run pricing and companies. WHAT IS GOING ON!!!??
